From what I've been reading, I guess I'm gonna have to install windows 10 and then upgrade to windows 11 when Windows MIDI Services rolls out

I seem to recall having it working on Windows 11 some time ago, but I'm not sure. I know it's not exactly the same, buy have you tried LoopBe1? - https://www.nerds.de/en/loopbe1.html

Thanks! I've heard of that before but haven't tried it. I'll have to look into that

Yeah, RTP MIDI should work on Windows 11, but it might not be as straightforward as it was on earlier versions. Check your network settings and ensure that the necessary permissions are enabled.

Now I'm having some even bigger issues with Windows 11. Since when did Windows change their mission statement to making my life a living hell?
I figured I'd try to install rtp midi in safe boot and now the computer won't boot up with any peripherals working.

Sorry for your troubles. Better luck with the next one.
Out of curiosity, why did you need rtpMIDI if you have an iConnectivity device?

I can use the mioxl to route midi from my DAW to whatever hardware I want super easy w/ Win10 and very low latency. You just set an rtp midi device that connects over Ethernet
You can even run midi to up to 22 different computers which seems excessive because there's 22 different rtp ports

Now I'm having the same issues on Windows 10 after their newest update. After uninstalling the update it works fine again though.
