You can try it... only install >9Gigs of T-RackS 6 MAX (but hey, it's not included in T-RackS 6 MAX!!) ?!?!?!?
Still better than installing a 24Gig single plugin from Acustica though
Anyway, I agree with you, it would be nice to hear what people has to say about the plugin, but honestly, I'm not even bothering. I'm sure it's an ok eq and I'm sure after intro price it goes up to whatever for several weeks, and then the show will start again with whatever random calendar celebration, until it goes for $29 or less bundled with this and that, whatever the new marketing maneuver of the day may be.

I prefer a simple download link to a single plugin. Ikm doesn't have that. So i download the custom store and ikm product manager. Is it perfect? No. But their plugins have always been favorites of mine so i make the extra effort. You guys that hold your ground and refuse to install etc, you should really just try the plugins.
Heck at least it's not a zillion gigs of bloatware, system spam and hooks like UAD. Everybody just accepts that without moaning!

I give IK a hard time but I agree with you. I can always get the sound I want a lot faster with ik plugins than I can with ozone and most other bundles (maybe I'm just simple that way). I'm a big fan of the t-racks

Okay, so I finally caved and installed T-Racks 6 to be able to try this Lursen Plugin.
EDIT: Okay, it's a little bit less of a shit show. The TR5 individual plugins are still there so I didn't completely loose the ownership of my plugins but it is very disconcerting that according to T-racks 6 intro I do not own a few plugins that I actually do own, since a decade back.
Or maybe some of these are just part of T-racks 5 and were not included in T-racks 6 for some reason?
The plugins that I suddenly do not own any more are Black 76, VC-670, Classic Clipper and Classic Multiband and EQP-1A. I have absolutely no idea why T-Racks 6 thinks I don't own these. I have the literal TR5 versions of them installed and authorized right on the same computer.
IK Multimedia's whole eco-system of software is soooooo damn confusing. This is why I try to keep away from them at all cost, even if the actual plugins sound really good.

Which was a change of policy from before where v4 was allowed to be ported over to the free version of 5.

I'm a T-Racks 5 owner, haven't upgraded. What happens if buy Lurssen Mastering EQ? Do I have to install a bunch of TR6 plugins, and I'll only have access to one? Then have to use TR5 plugins for everything else? Or would buying "Lurssen Mastering EQ" qualify as "a paid version of T-Racks 6" and then get everything of mine upgraded?

Got T-RackS 6 max when it first came out for a hundred bucks and think for the most part it’s been worth it. Pretty great set of plug-ins notwithstanding the bugs which there have been plenty but they have been fixing them. The latest being the Lurssen Mastering EQ doesn’t retain its mid side settings after re-opening a project in Logic at least.

Lurssen Mastering EQ is a T-RackS 6 module, thus it will not work in T-RackS 5. If you would like to use your T-RackS 5 plugins in T-RackS 6 you would need T-RackS 6, T-RackS 6 Pro, or T-RackS 6 MAX. The latter is on sale for $99.99 and you can get T-RackS 6 in the Humble Bundle that started today in the full $30 tier.
