Or, and probably more to the point, the usa broadband infrastructure and/or internet interlinks are shit. Uvi works instantly and very efficiently from the UK.
Mac mini m4 pro, Reaper, too many plugins, Modal Argon8, Novation Circuit Mono Station and now a lovely Waldorf Blofeld.

Reporting from Toronto. I clicked the link in the post previous and the page loaded up fast, as normal. However, I have had a couple experiences where the site did not load but these were during new product releases with good sales. Otherwise the site the Portal have been working well.

Also my upgrade is 199. I need to assess what I don’t have to determine if it’s worth it because I have left out some products because they aren’t something ai would use.

The UVI Products page (https://www.uvi.net/store) takes almost a minute to load. Then when clicking on the Sonic Bundle > Discover button I get an HTTP500 - Page Not Found. Doesn't inspire a lot of confidence to purchase their products.

I want iLOK to die, and UVI is one of the few things I still own that require it. Now that they have a downloader application, are they still requiring iLOK?

FWIW, I only own Meteor (meh) and Percussion Factory (great), and my Sonic Bundle cost is $600.
Uh that seems like it’s your provider or routing connections. I’m in central USA and had no issues with UVI site, downloading or installing 800GB. Never timed out or any issues at all with UVI.

Yes the products still require iLok, all UVI products do. I’ve over 180 iLok licenses and never had issue with iLok the USB dongle, local to PC or Mac iLok without dongle or iLok cloud. Couple of glitch’s with iLok server couple of times but they were resolved in a day and the licenses I had on dongle continued to work. Soundtoys, Eventide UVI alll work just fine with no issues.

I wonder if the licenses I have are part of it, or if I get them additional. Could I sell the ones I own already?

You can't sell them which is to be expected.

"Single licenses cannot be transferred after upgrading to a newer product or a bundle".

I think that is mostly talking about upgrades. For example, if you had Vintage Vault 3, and upgraded to Vintage Vault 4, you cannot sell the VV3 license and still keep VV4. They are paired together in that case.

Maybe someone can contact UVI and clarify, but I think the Sonic Bundle may also be an exception to this whole thing because otherwise you wouldn't be able to sell anything you ever bought from UVI if you buy the bundle, according to that statement. That seems illogical.

They have already confirmed it.
It's normal to surrender iLok licenses when you purchase a bundle that contains the same licences.
See Eventide Anthology etc.

If they release new products or you buy a 2nd license for one of the products after buying the bundle, they are not linked to the bundle.

I bought the bundle, but I still have a separate license in iLok for everything I've ever purchased.

However, other than getting special pricing on the Sonic Bundle due to my previous purchases, I have not yet purchased any actual upgrades (e.g. my VV3 to VV4 example).

Should I not have those other licenses in my iLok account anymore? Seems weird.

Click on a few and see what they say next to 'Allow Transfer'.

Just checked and I am permitted to transfer everything I have from UVI (again, no direct upgrades in my account). I select "Transfer License", it asks for my iLok password, and then asks me to specify the account name of the person to transfer to.

Sounds like a glitch.
Sell now quickly while you can. 8)
I offer $100 for all your libraries, provided they are of interest. :D

The offer is $400 for me for the rest, but I don't see enough that makes me want to spend that much just to have everything.
Percussion Factory, World Instruments, Glass Orchestra and ALL of the Falcon expansions might make it worth you while. Percussion Factory alone is a real track inspiration machine for me.

So many plugins, so little time...

UVI have to manually authorise every ilok transfer, so maybe they will block transfers for licences where the bundle upgrade has been purchased?
The Eventide method of surrendering individual licenses is much clearer.

I was switched to the FX bundle at one stage, without really understanding what that meant, and could no longer sell individual FX even tho I had bought all but one individually. Like you it looked as if I could in ilok
I am a bit suspicious of UVI now because of that and also the latest bundle which seems to be priced differently for different folks based on little more than if you hassle the right person in the right way you get another $100 to $150 off. Or not. Not being transparent with how the deals are calculated is poor behaviour in my view

Usually when you upgrade to a bundle the plugins are no longer able to be sold individually, for most plugin companies. Yes, the SonicBundle upgrade price is lower the more UVI products you own - why do you need to know the breakdown of the upgrade tiers? Did you ask UVI? Why is it suspicious that they didnt publish this - why does it matter?
