behringer talk about 'free PC software' for this.
quite unashamedly on the product page, but doesn't appear to exist!
lol what's that about, then? decided they couldn't be a*sed?

looks like it won't be difficult anyway and could all be done with
MIDI CC#s. it's all rotary encoders anyway so editing should be pretty
simple+quick.

found one supercheap so i thought i'd give it a whirl, picking it up
in a coupla days. all behringer stuff seems to get a slating - apart
from cable tester and the adat channel thing - and i've never had
a behringer fx unit before.

Sorry, I cannot find that. I looked at the DSP2024P and FX2000 (3D) product pages. Which one did you?

After some digging around, it's mentionned on the DSP1000P and DSP1024P product pages. But indeed, that has become vapourware. No trace of any download link, must have been hell to use ;-)

haha, you know what, i think the page got corrected since
my post ! :) can't find it now - or was i maybe looking at
an older product's page? don't think so...anyway, 30eu for
a 1U rack multi fx that responds to midiCC#, is covered in
rotaries, has reasonable writeups for its reverbs and a
...smorgasbord! of fx+processes, gotta have some interest
value. i'm not big on fx, definitely not a purist, so i'm sure
i'll find the goodness in there. funny gearslutz topic where
the guy asks is there anything other than the cable tester,
but ends up with a long list of units people have appreciated.

i'll see if i can nick sonicbytes' midiCC knob prefab
and make a VST controller for it in SE.
