My submission for the Thorn round. This time I was in the mood for something happy, simple and straightforward, so I present you with this infantile three-chord (well, maybe a bit more...) smash :-)

Made in Cakewalk. 18 instances of Thorn. Magic7, Deelay, OTT, LFX-1310 and W1 Limiter as the external FX.

EDIT: New upload to fix series of some nasty clicks...

I'm really enjoying DS Thorn. I played around with it a bit early in the month and liked it enough to throw down a few bucks for it in the 2 for $29.99 sale at PA, and now I'm finishing up my track.

The built-in glitch sequencer can really add a lot of life to sounds. It's perfect for lush pads with a bit of movement.

JUST IN CASE somehow I forget, here's what I've got thus far:
https://soundcloud.com/taronium/taron-f ... al_sharing

OSC#193: DS Thorn

Instances: 17
DAW: MuLab
FX: Panagement 2, Frank CS, OTT, LoudMax, Supermassive, KSHMR Essentials Kick, Protility, WideFire, smartEQ, ZL Equalizer, TDR Nova, Airwindows Tube2, bx_subfilter, Frontier.

A bunch of the plug-ins I just tested out in there a little. Most of the effects are from within Thorn except for one little bit of supermassive and placements with panagement 2. I can't quite tell what genre this really is, except that I thought it fits in some off-the-wall house styles. Maybe I'll add some more to it, maybe not.

Anyway, Thorn is a curious little beast with a pretty stiff neck. I thought about making videos for it, but besides plenty of them in existence, I really couldn't quite get behind Thorn for the many quirks it has and few things that really make sense to show. Maybe for the next one again...

This is my first time entering the contest!

If I remember/counted properly there were 53 instances of Thorn, 3 instances of OTT, 42 instances of ReaEQ, 3 instances of ReEQ, 3 instances of Event Horizon Clipper, 2 ReaLimit, 2 JS Saturation, 1 ReaXComp, 2 instances of ReaGate, 1 instance of ReaComp, and I think thats everything. I used these just to make the song feel more full and to make the instruments blend together better. I also used the stereo width slider in the reaper tracks themselves a bit. Carla is just a bridge to run Windows plugins on Linux but it doesn't change the sound other than that, there are a lot of them though. If you need project file, I can send it, created on Reaper 7.18 on Manjaro Linux
