Locking Notes

Is there a way to lock notes to prevent them from being regenerated? For example in melody generators. If not, what is the correct workflow if you like certain notes that were generated, and would like to regenerate other notes while preserving the first set of notes.

That is a good question. At the moment there is no way to lock certain notes for generators. I'll think how this could be implemented as all notes are created by an algorithm which sometimes should be aware of the locked notes (e.g. when the beginning notes of a melody are locked).
If you use a motive generator (that can be edited under the Melody Editor tab), you have the chance to regenerate only a single motive (the melody is built from multiple motives). You can lock notes in the MIDI Mutator, and generate melody lines there, but I am not sure how it can be inserted into your workflow.
Thanks,
Attila
