This is for my pc to stereo. Just because the Roland is more than 2 times the price of the FosPower cable, looking at the descriptions, I am not noticing anything specific which makes the Roland superior to the FosPower?

The most important thing I look for in a cable is capacitance per foot or meter.
- I did not find that info in either, or I did not look long enough
Really good cable are about 19 pF/ft or 60 pF/m.
- this saves you highs still there at the end
See if you can find that info elsewhere, maybe, or I missed it.
- go for the one with lower pF specs

I've bought a couple of such cables in the past. The best one, favorite I still use costed less than €5, not online but brick&mortar shop, when the walkman still was a thing.
I've done loopback tests on a chain of in total 12 meters RCA consumer cables plus various adapters. No significant difference when compared with balanced TRS patch cables of only 1 meter.

I think Hosa isn’t as good as it used to be. I got one recently where the plating on the jack wasn’t done properly and it’s corrodingShabdahbriah wrote: Tue Apr 01, 2025 11:01 pm After many many years of daily use [2c]:
