My latest Diva patches demo was "accused" :hihi: of sounding quite modern, in a digital/analog hybrid way. I think Diva does a good job of providing the analog depth and interactivity whilst simultaneously allowing many options and an often exacting precision.

Sure, there aren't triple-loopable envelopes or wavetables (maybve in the sequel?), but with the soundfields lurking in Diva's multidimensional parameter space and signal path, who needs them? And stuff is going to be ADDED. At this stage, I don't even care what it is, I know it's going to create even more diversity with that same richness.

Diva can do more than lowpass plucks, 80's stuff and Moog novelty record sounds :D

Isn't modern sounding kinda outside the focus of Diva? That said I'll likely be pleased with any addition.
Yes, probably - though to aim so high on sound quality and deliver on multiple OSC and Filter sections is pretty amazing already.

Easy enough to add some edgy icing from another synth where needed. There are some amazing modular oscs and filters just waiting to be added to Diva imo!!
Well, the roadmap points to some new additions at some point and I look forward to them whatever they are. One could imagine another synth of similar structure aimed at more modern sounds. I might prefer that rather than cram too much into Diva. Not sure... I suppose I want everything possible in there but still stay streamlined like it is now :)

But hearing something about Diva before the first beta arrived I never imagined how remarkable it would sound so whatever comes next is gonna be good!
New filters in Uhbik? Would be great.
New filters/oscs in ACE? Would be amazing.

For Diva I'm sure there will be more vintage oscs and filters.

The fx in Diva are also really very very nice, maybe they will get seperated out, or added into Uhbik as well.

The FX in Diva do sound good. I've wondered if it is because of what feeds them?

As for updates, I want to see Bazille get fleshed out!!

With Diva, maybe 2 more modules would likely be the point when I would not want more added so it stays easy to use.

Pretty impressive shootout vs hardware, look at the track meters to see which is playing.

dont dislike it...but dont like it enough to buy it. Uno lx and the Legend scratch that itch.
We jumped the fence because it was a fence not be cause the grass was greener.

this thread is from 2012. Hmmm

I tried Diva but couldn’t get along with it. Some synths are just not for me, and this is one.

Nothing that it does is unique to it, so I honestly don’t care. Plenty of alternatives out there, a couple of which I own and use.

Since this was thread necroed, I’ll answer: no, I don’t like it.

Had it for a couple years, sold it, replaced it with better sounding synths (to me), and have never missed it. Still recommend people try it, though.

As a rigid follower of mediocrity and conformity, I love Diva, as I know it will always keep me safely tucked away in the meaty center of the pack, never having to fear that I might accidentally differentiate myself in any way. There is safety in numbers!
THIS MUSIC HAS BEEN MIXED TO BE PLAYED LOUD SO TURN IT UP

Ya that was my bad, I thought I was in a different thread when I shared that video.

i never could get out anything that would trigger me personally when playing with Diva.
i couldn´t gel with it. No, i can´t see "it".
"Plugin has turned Drug now"....and the business knows it.

Yeah, Diva isn't my first weapon of choice these days but I don't hear what it does done better in newer alternatives. Those Diva sounds just sit well in tracks. Many goood presets, FX sounds great. A solid package.
Recently on YouTube a comparisson video popped up where a cool guy compared Diva to his 1972 Mini Moog. Sounded really good to me. Both.
It is like a piano, never gets old. Might not be the sound I wanna use right now. But when I want classic synth sounds...
