For all that's holy separate the filters again. Maybe replace the Chord thing with an actual sequencer.

An insert effect must be the easiest thing to add in terms of UI and signal flow to a plugin, so yeah maybe new devs learning the codebase?

You'd think it'd be easy!

I'm glad to see new stuff and signs of support for the synth, so thanks.

20 free presets from me for Massive X. Look in soundware for info.

I dont care about the new features, i just keep praying devs would make plugin opening as smooth as Serum, Dune, Sylenth and other plugins

plugin opening? that's my least concern; i just want them to sound good, be fun (& productive) to use, and be stable. new features seems (to me) to be far more valuable than having a plugin open a second sooner...

I'd also rather have MX opening faster as a priority update than sporting new features. It already opens quicker than some years ago, but still isn't a smooth workflow for me.

Post

Preset browsing is weak - ok, but for creating own patches MX ist still on top in 2025 - soundwise (better than the new Serum 2 IMHO ) and the workflow is very good (better than Hive 2 or Dune 3 IMHO, not as good as Pigments and Serum). Oscillators, filters, effects are top notch. Opening time should be optimized.

Post

What are you talking about timewise to load? Mine takes like all of 2 seconds to load.

what DAW? here, in logic, it opens in under a second...

Fl studio, ableton, reaper. Opens just slow.

If you think that second is fast just try opening dune, serum 1/2, sylenth. I mean when plugin is already opened just gui closed. You can say reopening the plugin. Its just slugish. Whole plugin is slugish, feels heavy, not inviting to use.

all my 3rd-party plugins (including MX, spire, dune3, twin3, diva) open quickly (synthmaster 3 took the longest, but still a second). on re-opening, everything opens under a second.

how long is MX actually taking to re-open?

Maybe 3 years from now we'll get a Sausage Fattener clone and 20 more presets :D

MX still opens slow for me too, it's like 20 seconds to load in Cubase. But that's better than the 2+ minutes it used to take before the last update.
