Need help with Abletons CV Instrument - CV Gate only triggers if I release previous key??

The way it works now is that if I press one key and hold it, the Gate is sent for that key, but if I keep holding that key and hit another key at the same time, no second gate will be sent for the second key. I have to release the first key to get the second one to fire.

The way I want it to work is to have the possibility to change in a setting where any key pressed down under any circumstances at any time will always produce a Gate to be sent. Is this somehow possible?

I know nothing about Arturia, but something about modular synth signals.

Apart from CV and Gate there can also be a Trigger signal to reset the envelope generator.

Gate: high when any key is pressed, low when not
Trigger: short pulse when a key went down

If trigger is absent, it can be deduced from a gap in the gate signal.

If you want to reset the envelope generator, you should not play legato.

Ableton CV Instrument device has a button on it called Retrigger.

Does the info in the tooltip for that button, as per this image, not cover your situation?

Hello Whyterabbyt.

I tried pressing that Retrigger button but it does not make any change for me. Must be some bug, I will contact Ableton.

Hmmm. I guessit might be possible to fake it with some clever use of the CV Triggers device.

Unless its the synth that's the issue.
