Audiomodern's SoundBox Opinions?

Hello,

I'm reaching out to see if I can get some opinions from people that have tried out Audiomodern's SoundBox as well as they accompanying libraries?

I have an opening/opportunity to get it as well as other AudioModern stuff for a good price, so just seeing if I want to jump on the opportunity.

How are the libraries currently available for it?

I don't blame Audiomodern for jumping on the bandwagon of a proprietary sample player - think Soundpaint, or any one of the multitude of others. MNTRA Instruments has a fairly unique take on it, as does Lunacy Audio with Cube. One of the main issues I have with these tools is that I rarely reach for them when I'm ready to be creative.

Can you load your own samples and manipulate them like in Kontakt (with timestretch)? It's quite hard to tell on the website.

You can load samples and even make your own packs (don't think there is timestretching)! However, you have to buy at least one of their sound packs to unlock the features.

I have no interest in sound designing in Soundbox or any of these other sample players. Kontakt is king. But, I think Cube is next in terms the most musically useful and unique presets.
