Don't regret the upgrade. Though I first thought the dynamic section is a bit limited, I used it quite heavily so far
It didn't replace other dynamic eqs in my plugin list, but the improvoments in the "standard" eq alone is worth the upgrade.

Out of curiosity, which dynamic eq is your first choice?XxEDxX wrote: Thu Oct 03, 2019 3:47 pm Don't regret the upgrade. Right now the HOFA IQEQ does everything I need and is pretty simple to handle.escalona wrote: Thu Oct 03, 2019 6:21 pmOut of curiosity, which dynamic eq is your first choice?XxEDxX wrote: Thu Oct 03, 2019 3:47 pm Don't regret the upgrade. That was something I was already doing with Pro-Q2, automating a band based on other audio. So it was an easy upgrade (among other features). I like how it enhanced the workflow and didn't burden it, which is arguably its selling point. If it did more, it would become a different product entirely. Pro-Q3 goes in as an insert or on a bus, can solve problems or be creative, the dynamic EQs don't come in until mixing/mastering if needed at all (e.g., it's someone else's mix).Fleer wrote: Sun Oct 06, 2019 1:21 am I thought the dynamic section was a wonderful extra and it turned out that way. FabFilter just nails this kind of thing.

^^^ Well deserved.
But I am hanging out for 64-bit internal processing. Until then, PSP MasterQ is the true King of Clean.

That´s interesting.
What is the guy doing. modulations from an exterenal modulator ?
is this a specific host he uses.
just interested to roughly understand the basic workflow on this, and if there are special methods involved.
i do everything based on "hand-wiggling", not using DAWs.
i even don´t know if pro-Q3 has internal modulations. i never looked for that, haha. and: long time no see

Well, he's using Ableton Live. I can see three Audio Effect Racks, probably he used a bunch of (Max 4 Live) LFOs and the Shaper device, to modulate the points and crossmodulate the devices. There are also third-party M4L devices available, that would allow for more complex modulations.Funky40 wrote: Tue Apr 08, 2025 11:20 pm That´s interesting.

I guess it can be done with any DAW with good modulation systems. You need basically a bunch of LFO and a capacity to have LFO adding modulations to other LFO.Rastkovic wrote: Wed Apr 09, 2025 5:42 amWell, he's using Ableton Live. Other than that it is all just fun !
And no, ProQ doesn't have internal modulation. You need to go to volcano for that (in fabfilter line-up).

Thanks, i see. I thought it would be something like that.Rastkovic wrote: Wed Apr 09, 2025 5:42 am

But the screenshot looked so unfamiliar.
That video looked quite funny !
i use to 99.99% only live-play plugin hosts. I do everything by manual jammings so far.
right, Volcano. i use that one. but also without apllyed modulations....ah well, i did at some point in the past. some very subtle modulation brings things alive.Jac459 wrote: Wed Apr 09, 2025 6:30 am And no, ProQ doesn't have internal modulation. i totally forgot about that. #Keep-it-in-mind !
Thanks
