Hi everyone!
I’ve been trying to recreate this melodic synth sound using Serum, but I’m having trouble nailing the exact character of it. If anyone has ideas on how to approach it — waveforms, modulation, FX, anything — I’d really appreciate your insight.

Here’s the sample (isolated from drums):

Thanks in advance to anyone who takes a listen! 🙌

OK this is really terrible but it's a flute sound made in a cheesy synth way.
Just like how a synth brass just sounds like crap.
Make shift flute.zip
You could spend a lot more time on it and add some air(white noise) to the start and more modulations to it etc but the best thing to do is get a flute vst of some sort

Hmm... I’m hearing some kind of string instrument, something that sounds like a banjo, plus something else.
Though I might be wrong.

you might be right. but you can hear the "wind" sound on some of the notes at the start.
And on the part where the two notes come right after each other, the transition sounds just like a flute-ish instrument to me.

This sound was generated by an AI, and I really liked it. I’ve been trying to recreate it somehow, but so far without success :(
