The korg collection 5 crossgrade is at $99 at plugin boutique at the moment. Is there a listing somewhere as to what Korg products make you eligible for the crossgrade? I assume the Legacy collection doesn't count (or only as one product)?

Just seen that. Kinda lacking in information. No idea what qualifies

On Pluginboutique, they state that:
Please note: This is a crossgrade for owners of one KORG product
I'm not sure if the Legacy Collection is counted, it's the same thing as Legacy Bundle?

What you can do, if you have a Korg ID account, is to check inside your user page, and click on Offers from KORG, on the left panel, to see if there's something for your specific case.

I think it says 2 or more Korg products on plugin boutique. That's why I'm guessing the old legacy bundle (M1, wavestation, monoPoly, poly six, ms-20, mde-x, legacy cell) only counts as one product. On my korg account I can get the new collection for $199.

You have to own two or more Korg products you purchased individually to get the $99

If you own own Korg Collection 3 the upgrade is $149 and if you own Korg Collection 4 the upgrade is $49

If you don't own anything it's $199

Those prices are in USD from Korg Shop USA

Owners of Version 3 who have spent hundreds on dollars on Korg in the past are getting screwed as they only get a $50 discount over people who spent nothing.

It's confusing the $199 is also for people who don't own anything

I think the two products include Opsix, Wavestate, Gadget, etc

That's what I have. in your account go to 'Offers from Korg'. I have a code that brings it down to $132

Now that I think about it, I bought the legacy collection synths individually over a couple of holiday sales. I think they were like $49 each. I have my serial numbers but I'm guessing they do not qualify.

I just noticed, there are 3 crossgrade options at plugin boutique:
1 korg product you can get it for $149
2 korg products you can get the crossgrade for $99
and a crossgrade from v4 for $49.

I left a message with plugin boutique. Hopefully they'll respond quickly, though it's the weekend so it may be until Monday.

Like in Arturia threads, people are only talking about the update prices. It’s ok but near 1 year after the 2600 went live, are you still enthusiastic by it ? Does it inspire you to make sounds you don’t think you’d have thought of with other synths ? Does it still sound analog after living for one year in your computer ?

EP-1 has become my go-to Rhodes VST (pretty sure I own every one!). The 2600 is REALLY good and is used a lot too. Super Continental gets used a lot as does the miniKorg. The overall price of the collection is worth it for me for those 4 instruments.

1 Year in Computer years makes it Vintage now so it has finally got that magic Fairy Dust that the Originals have :hihi:
It still sound Analog and I can confirm that there are no scratchy Fader sound when you move the faders After owning it for almost a year and no leaky capacitors so i hope it will stay that way for another 10 years :hihi:

It is also Smoke safe so no tar is getting into the Synth since it has that amazing Squared smoke filter with a window on it that you can look into.

After some checking bundle for example for me was unexpectedly liked Electribe-R, pretty fun drum thing, by sound particularly and variability of factory patches. (Don't remember that he was praised, or did I miss something).
And Kaoss pad, pleasant UI\structure.

The only thing, seems bug in Kaosspad, it's not save empty ("No Effect") state of fx cell in host' project, instead load always (last loaded ?) fx.
I wrote to support (two months ago) they did reply but still no fix.

A year in the 2600 still sounds just as awesome and "analog" as the day I got it. Compared to the cost of hardware even the Behringer Clone it's a tremendous value. It's more inspiring to use than the hardware would be as it's just a few mouse clicks away and doesn't take up any actual space so I end up using it more than hardware

In 2025 for most users a synth like the 2600 is not going to be your go to, no matter if you are using the hardware or the software versions, but it's fun and when you want/need those sounds the 2600 is the only thing that can make them
