It seems there is a 50% sale on Roland lifetime keys until 30th April. Thinking I might get Zenology Pro even though I was planning on getting the XV5080 as part of P4L.

ah sorry, just spotted that it reads "Thank you for being part of the SP community". I guess it's a reward as a result of the poor reception of the SP404 mk2 OS 5 update from 3rd April. I missed the SP bit first read through.WatchTheGuitar wrote: Sat Apr 12, 2025 1:07 pmWhere are those 50% off prices?ChamomileShark wrote: Sat Apr 12, 2025 10:57 am It seems there is a 50% sale on Roland lifetime keys until 30th April. Ah, thanks for the clarification. The only other time I heard about an offer like that was for a Bandcamp Friday. They literally only ran the promotion for a day.ChamomileShark wrote: Sat Apr 12, 2025 1:18 pmah sorry, just spotted that it reads "Thank you for being part of the SP community". Question for those that have bought Zenology Pro, I'm trying to understand which sound banks come with it. It's very confusing because Roland seem to use different terms and I think the easiest way I can understand is to know the is via their bank names.
My guess is that a lifetime key for Zenology Pro only includes
PRST A- PRST L?
It does not include;
EXZ banks
EXM/ MO banks (Model Expansions)
SDZ banks.
can someone confirm?

You only get the barebone Zen core Sound banks so no EXZ Banks or EXM Synth models or SDZ Banks.ChamomileShark wrote: Sat Apr 12, 2025 1:45 pm Question for those that have bought Zenology Pro, I'm trying to understand which sound banks come with it. If you want all the EXM included you have to buy this one:
https://www.roland.com/us/products/rc_z ... ollection/
You can find it under offers tab in the Cloud manager and it costs $599 and will give you Zenology Pro + The Zen core versions of the Jupiter-8, Juno 106, JX8P, SH-101 and JD-800
The SDZ and EXZ is something you have to buy separately and if you only buy Zenology Pro you will have to buy the EXM separately later on which would be more expensive than buying Zen Pro Collection.

If you’re interested in exporting presets you build in Zenology Pro into external synths like Jupiter-XM and MC 707, which is why I bought it, then I think you’re limited to presets that target the base model, not model expansions like the SH-101. That was the case the last time I looked into it.

hi, no, I'm just looking to play stuff within Zenology itself. I have the JP4 & Juno 106 plugins and really the rest of the expansions are of less interest. I think the biggest attraction is getting most of the XV5080 sounds with easier editing than the plugin.

If this is true, it looks like Arturia beat them to it:

It could be true, but I don't think the image of the GUI that's floating around is real, as there is no way on that to launch the advanced editing tap which Arturia always has. Hard to see a scenario where Arturia would provide no way of editing the effects for exampleExamigan wrote: Tue Apr 15, 2025 5:29 pm If this is true, it looks like Arturia beat them to it:

i would love that Arturia would take over and release Roland stuff. what Roland cannot do it would be good if Arturia could do it. we waited too long and this year still nothing great was released. im unsubscribed since when? 1 or now 2 years i think already and (nearly) NOTHING new. like i expected...

I agree, Arturia also has a long successful track record with their emulations of digital synths so my guess if the my do make a JP-8000 it will sound amazingCaine123 wrote: Tue Apr 15, 2025 6:17 pm i would love that Arturia would take over and release Roland stuff. what Roland cannot do it would be good if Arturia could do it. we waited too long and this year still nothing great was released. im unsubscribed since when? 1 or now 2 years i think already and (nearly) NOTHING new. like i expected...

Just FYI. RCM is still a broken mess. This is what I'm reporting to support:
EDIT: The actual error message; doesn't matter if the password I'm entering is correct or not, I'm getting this popup.

As much as I'm happy about the recent fixes, I can't think of a more cumbersome and overall broken manager app, except maybe Native Access.Hi everyone,
I've never had serious authentication problems with RCM, however version v3.1.15 - PRD-95C2F8807 has reverted ALL my licenses to demo, **lifetime keys included**.
If I try and authenticate from within the plugin I get an error message saying the authentication is no longer valid, then I'm forced to log out of RCM and log in again in order for the plugins to load.
What's worse, is that after a reboot al licenses are back to demo again and I have to start over. I honestly don't think this is acceptable, especially not when my permanent licenses still require me to log on from time to time.
I'm running Windows 10 with the latest updates, the above issue happens in all DAWs and plugin hosts I have.

Hey Marco, sorry about this, we are looking into it. Can you try and uninstall and then reinstall RCM using the installer tool and let me know if that resolves the issue? Let me know if it doesn't and I'll DM you to get some more information.vulpes777 wrote: Mon Apr 21, 2025 6:37 pm Just FYI. RCM is still a broken mess. This is what I'm reporting to support:
