Hmm I tried installing the free VSTs they have, but it seems to only install VST2 still? The installer says 3.0 and says it includes VST3 in the release notes when you install it, though. Did they just forget to include the VST3 versions in the new installer?

There are separate installers for VST and VST3. Make sure you have downloaded the VST3 installers. I can confirm it installed the VST3 version of RO-GOLD on Mac.concealed identity wrote: Sat Apr 12, 2025 2:02 am Hmm I tried installing the free VSTs they have, but it seems to only install VST2 still? So this is how far we have come on kvr. Average plugin users complaining over 'missing' vst3 support for almost a decade. And after it finally arrived only one jamming cat showing some love. Congratulations!

Saw the word challenge response in the manual of a free plugin and deleted the installer right away without installation....

Just upgraded from the betas to the latest version. Thanks for the heads-up. I was not informed by @BlackRooster about this release. Is there something I should have done to get notified? Without KVR, I wouldn't have known.

That must have been an old manual and a mistake on our end. There is no challenge/response involved whatsoever!rasmusklump wrote: Sat Apr 12, 2025 3:06 pm Saw the word challenge response in the manual of a free plugin and deleted the installer right away without installation....

As you obviously seem to be a BETA TESTER, please use our regular communication channels for conversation. There is a statement to be released this hour.wintoid wrote: Sat Apr 12, 2025 3:11 pm Just upgraded from the betas to the latest version. Thanks for the heads-up. The update is much appreciated BR.
Question: do you support iPluginCompatibility or any other VST2 to VST3 automatic migration approaches?

The Mac VST3 Bundle installer is messed up:
1. It lists all VST3 plugins multiple times, repeating the list
2. It lists all Manuals multiple times, repeating the list
This is on Sequoia 15.01, 2021 M1 MBP.
So for example I see one instance TD-201 Plugin-In (VST3) and I'll uncheck it because I don't own that plugin. Then I'll scroll way down and see another instance of TD-201 Plug-In (VST3) that's still checked. So I uncheck that one too. The full list of VST3 Plugins appears multiple times.
Then you scroll down and the Manual options similarly repeat. So due to these bugs, there is a lot to uncheck if you're trying to download the bundle installer and just uncheck the few plugins you don't own.
Additional installer request: automatically install the manual with the selected plugin. Don't keep a separate option for the manual. If I don't install the plugin, I don't install the manual and vice versa, they don't need to be separate options.
