I dunno, quite excited to try the Discovery update to bring new life to 'bass sounds' as my current one is pretty lifeless

That's because it's not a bass buddy...

You call yourself an angler?

That's a rainbow trout you've landed and it looks mildly pissed off about it too
No auto tune...

I have a mounted fish that sings, will these updates help my fish have less aliasing?

Will this bring back the oversampled / HQ mode back to the free edition of OB-Xd?

I feel really, really sorry for the dude who voiced this, but I couldn't retain a laugh as soon as I heard it. :D
There's no problem with his voice, of course. But it's like he's in a hurry and doesn't care much about what he's saying.
Love this video !

TBH its not even AI i think, just text to speech because thats how most of text to speech models sound like now days, unless its a very good AI. Text to speech models do not take in to context what they are reading therefore readings are unnatural.

Just as an example write the text in this text to speech model and you will hear how it sounds https://elevenlabs.io/?utm_source=googl ... IAQAvD_BwE

My apologies for previous post, using text to speech feels unprofessional, its better to use some good AI model instead :)

@discoDSP
I like OB-Xd and thanks for the free version, but honestly, seeing a nag screen every time I open the plugin's window is really annoying and doesn't make me want to buy it.

Uninstalled.

At this point, it might be well known amongst KVRians that I'm a dork.
I hadn't even realised that I had installed Discovery for an unknown quantity of days/weeks/etc.

I just a moment ago tested out Discovery and it's really impressive. I mention this in light of DiscoveryPro.

I feel that discoDSP is on a roll of successfully implemented synths which is well on par with Tone2 synths but still of unique character and flair... which is to say that if you're like me and like Tone2 synths, you'll probably also like these discoDSP synths too. They are not equivalent, but excessive comparisons are for the birds.

Having just noticed how Discovery excells, I welcome DiscoveryPro and the discoDSP product line.

I'm kind of an old fart and a dork, and even slightly a snob about electronic music, but I really appreciate the clever artistry of softsynths like these with advanced features, good sound, and friendly GUI's.

I will try and shut up and make more music.
But sometimes it's good to say, "wow, this is nice" instead of complaining. And wow, this is nice.

sincerely, mjolnir

P.S.-looking forward to demoing new synths of 2025

We appreciate your feedback regarding OB-Xd. We understand your concern about the purchase dialog.

The free version is designed to display this reminder only once daily upon initial launch, thereby striking a balance between offering a free version and sustaining development while retaining its full functionality, with the exception of oversampling being disabled.

@DiscoDSP How do I reach support? I've been trying to log into my account for weeks and every time I try using my Customer ID, it gets rejected. I've tried contacting support but my customer ID also gets rejected so I'm basically stuck!
All I want is to get access to my products and check how much the upgrade to Discovery Pro 8 is.

I'm having that reminder every time the plugin is on focus, not only after the first launch.
Really annoying.
