Thanks! It does look like it should work fine for one instrument!
FWIW I checked and my Microkey firmware is up to date. Since I also had ios update turned off it's weird it could stop working. In fact the whole decades long problems with basic Korg drivers is weird, they can do great work in other areas. Whatever.

Korg had me make sure all BT devices except the ipad is off before trying, whether because of this step or otherwise, both devices again connect to iPad!
There's been Win11 progress as well; on other advice I removed Korg Win11 drivers, created a 2nd Win User Account, installed the drivers from there, and returned to my original account! Microkey Air now connects to Win 11!
If Nanokontrol is first removed from list of Win BT devices, however, then turned on, Nanokontrol flashes blue and Nanokontrol appears by name in Win as dicoverable; if clicked there, on Win11 its status changes to Connected and the blue light on Nanokontrol turns solid blue. Within 5 seconds however the Win11 BT status changes back to Not Connected and Nanokontrol blue starts flashing again. At this stage Nanokontrol is in Win11 list of devices, just, as noted above, no longer connects or even attempts to until removed from the list of Win BT devices, when as described in this paragraph it can again Connect for 5 seconds only, before being disconnected. This process can be repeated, each time in order to Connect for 5 seconds Nanokontrol must first be removed from the Win11 list of BT devices. The devices pair but immediately lose connection.

Korg said make sure DAW is open when connecting or it automatically disconnects, odd since didn't used to and not needed for Mixccrokey - but it worked! Solved.
