I'm not that keen on the design, but a Noir Polybrute version would probably look cool.

The PolyBrute is phenomenal.

I’m only on day three with my PolyBrute, but this may already be my fav synth I’ve ever owned. I was a little concerned that I might not like the keybed, but I’m finding that, even though it’s a noticeably lighter action than my Virus TI and Native Instruments Komplete Kontrol S61 mk2, I still like it, especially the last note aftertouch feature. OK, enough chat, back to PolyBruting…

I still prefer my Nord Wave 2 over Polybrute, working with Nord Wave 2 is much faster, the overall user experience is much better and sonically can't hear the difference. The only analog that sounds to me better than Clavias is a Moog Subsequent 37, generally the Moogs are superb to VA/Digitals, other DCOs/VCOs sounds like current digitals, just no point to buy them - less polyphony, more technical problems, the only amazing analogs are unfortunatelly Moogs.

You obvs haven't heard the character analogues. Things like PWM synths couldn't sound less like digital/VA. Their Malevolent and Mantis can be compared equivalent to MS20 and OSCar on steroids, which is almost as aggro and characterful analogue as you can get - leave Moogs in their dust. Personally I find Moogs unattractive, characterless filters only ever decent-sounding on the ones that can be overdriven. I'd rather have a decent VA such as Korg MultiPoly than a Moog, but personal opinion as ever.

I like the idea of a big Arturia but can't quite justify the price. A Polybrute is better value than the mono ones, but I really don't need another big poly enough to spend the NZ$12k or whatever the price is for a 12 voice. The price of the mono is silly IMO, but that's probably what I'd like more. Off the top of my head, I think the MatrixBrute is $4k or so. Not even vaguely worth it. I'll probably buy a minibrute of some kind at some point, as I really do like those gnarly filters and the metallizer thingy (Steiner-Parker, not the crappy ladder ones) - just got a holiday backpay windfall, so I can easily afford one currently.
