When 11 it comes out it really needs to offer more than 10 did. if all it is another new synth, Augmented Cow Bell, yet another Electric Piano and an update to something else it's going to be a hard pass for manykvotchin wrote: Tue Apr 15, 2025 8:15 amIt’s $199 for me to go from 8 to X. Not sure if that would change when 11 comes along. Also not sure I’ll bother. Nothing in X for me, but who knows…

Most of my Collection 9 is now uninstalled except for the few things I know I've used in older projects. I just got a Roland SH-4D a few months ago, that things got the Super Saw in it already (and the Alpha Juno Saw!!), does the trick IF I need that one sound heh. The 10 update was meh, 11 is going to be a total snooze if that's what they're planning on adding.

Not a lot of info in that post about what these 7 new instruments will be other than a JP-8000. I’d rather be reading about a JX-8P.

In a bored moment today I went over to the Arturia website and noticed that my upgrade price had gone up from $99 to $299. Likely we're in the grace period now.

I don't think that's real, if that actually is the GUI from Arturia there is no advanced button that opens up the advanced tab for added goodiesjamcat wrote: Tue Apr 15, 2025 5:49 pm Not a lot of info in that post about what these 7 new instruments will be other than a JP-8000. I can't see Arturia making a JP-8000 and not having any extras, it's just not what they do

But seriously, Arturia needs to step up their game and give us more value for a $299 upgrade (which may go down to $199 on sale). Lumping in the snoozefest Synthx V and another Augmented instrument will not cut it.
I need something interesting like a Mutable Instruments Shruthi/Ambika emulation that is both musical and a bit left-field. People seem to be clamoring for a JP-8000 emulation. Why? There are already a gazillion "supersaw" Trance synth plugins. Something like that won't cut it either.
Although these would be fairly humdrum, I wouldn't mind JX-3P and JX-8P emulations since the Roland versions are so lame and neither TAL nor Softube has filled the void. The JX-3P and JX-8P are simple synths and should be fairly easy to emulate. But they couldn't be the "main course" of V Collection 11.

Is audiosex just a joke name like muffwiggler? I don't go there often so I don't know the 'culture'.

I noticed that too, but if you look at this image on their homepage they omit the preset section and advanced tab from their publicity renders: https://medias.arturia.net/cdn-cgi/imag ... -thumb.jpgIvyBirds wrote: Tue Apr 15, 2025 6:01 pm I don't think that's real, if that actually is the GUI from Arturia there is no advanced button that opens up the advanced tab for added goodies

So I reckon it's legit. Edit: just noticed it says JUP-8000 and not JP-8000. So possibly a fake.

Thank you for that.

If the Internet forums rumors are true there is going to be some kind of reworking if Augmented, my guess is they will combine all of them into a single instrument
A 1990s style VA would be a welcome addition to V collection for many so a JP-8000 would be cool. The fact it would be a giant middle finger to Roland Cloud is an added bonus
I don't really think either of those would really move the needle an be big sales drivers however
As an aside, I was playing around last night with ChatGPT and was surprised to find out that it it seems to know and understand the various Synths in the Arturia V Collection quite well. You can even ask it to design patches for you and it even generates the presets along with the appropriate file to load into the various Synths

TAL is working on a JX-8P emulation with quality of life improvements!
