I'm using your great plugin PG-8X. Everything works perfectly with Logic 10.5.1, which is how I use it. But Cubase 10 no longer supports 32-bit plugins. Is there a plan to upgrade this really great plugin to 64-bit for Mac or is there already a 64bit plugin somewhere?

Thank you for your information
There's already a 64-bit version.
Where can I download the Mac 64bit VST version?

As far as I know there is no 64 bit VST version. Are you sure?!?

Go to the homepage (google link) in the first post and download PG-8X_2.0.13_MacVST.zip. That is 32 and 64 bit.

Are you confusing 64-bit with Apple Silicon? There's no native Apple Silicon version but the plugin has been 64-bit for quite some time. Maybe even since its inception.

I was under the impression that there was no 64 bit VST version for OSX yet but I probably misunderstood. I don't mean Silicon.

AFAIK, like mentioned, there is a 64Bit macOS VST version available. But no VST3 version (only old standard VST2) neither for Windows nor Mac. Plus no native support for Apple Silicon Macs so far. Source: https://sites.google.com/site/mlvst0/

You can't directly run VST2 plugins in current Cubase versions anymore.

I know by doing myself that if you want to run the available 64Bit VST2 version in Cubase or in Logic on an Intel Mac you need a wrapper host. Free Kushview Element I use.

Hello,
I tried to get PG-8X running in Logic Pro on a Mac Mini M4 but I couldn’t. I also installed Element as mentioned here but I don’t get a single tone out of it.
Could some please provide some screenshots or description how to get it running?

Thank you!

Huh?
I looked all over TAL's website, but there's no mention of anything resembling a JX-8P there. At least not that I could see.
I know it's April, but way past the 1st

You decide now which threads have to be locked?

The only thing that worked for me was DDMF Metaplugin. It is not free, and not exactly cheap but it is a very useful plugin, especially for oversampling plugins without that option in Logic.

Run Logic in Rosetta mode - PG8X will validate. Close Logic and open in native mode. Done.

This thread is well past its usefulness, considering the plugin in question has been abandonware for 10 years now. The developer has used this thread to make several false and misleading claims in bad faith over the years, leading to false hope, and worst of all, discouraging any other developer from taking up the JX-8P until now.

But you are misrepresenting what I said, anyways. I said “can be” not “has to be.” So how about we just agree on “should be.”
