I’m smart enough to know the best Reverb plugin is this one.JerGoertz wrote: Sun Apr 13, 2025 7:03 pmMe as well. Most people here say Valhalla, but Arturia LX24 is the best Lexicon emulation. Yes, better than VintageVerb. VV sounds flat in comparison.
The Quantec in Logic Pro is the best room simulator. Better than ValhallaRoom. The hardware goes for $10k, but the exact same algorithms are used from the hardware. It sounds so good that it will compete with the best impulse responses which is amazing for anyone who doesn't like using convolution reverbs.
Arturia Plate-140 is the best plate. Yes, better than ValhallaPlate. Valhalla has more features, but sound is what matters.
The best reverb for non-realistic, huge sounds is Raum.
Those four options are all you need for everything besides spring and shimmer reverbs. If you want shimmer, just use one of those and make a feedback send with a bus using a pitch shifter. It will give you more freedom and you don't need an extra plugin for it.

Personally I think the UAD EMT140 is still the best plate. For other 'real' spaces the UAD chambers and rooms are also Excellent.djanthonyw wrote: Mon Apr 14, 2025 12:17 pm Arturia Plate-140 is the best plate. Yes, better than ValhallaPlate. Valhalla has more features, but sound is what matters.

Raum is pretty good, but other than the company things some people here don't like, 2CAudio Breeze to me is a bit smoother.
I've also really been liking SSL Flexverb. It's very metallic, but is perfect for some vibes.

I like the UAD Lexicon 224 more than the Arturia LX24. Both get the reverb right, but the UAD 224 includes the chorus bank, which the Arturia doesn't. Also, Arturia's has been "enhanced" in some ways that I don't like which makes it less true to the original, including some special sauce to make it sound glossy and "pop" more.

My go-to for reverb is Breverb, from Overloud. I got it bundled with Cakewalk Sonar when I bought that back when Cakewalk was still owned by Gibson, but it is a little bit pricey at $129 to buy on its own.

I'll throw my hand in the ring and say : "Spacer" is probably the best reverb still available. Nothing beats it terms of possibilities and quality - it's so sad it's abandonware for now... But it definitely drags you down a rabbithole you won't be comming out soon.
That doesn't mean it's my favourite of which I have 5:
-LOVE by Dawson
-RC48 by NI
- MConvolution MB by Melda
- Supermassive by Valhalla DSP
-the internal reverb of Reason - which I have as a seperate plugin

I like Savant Audio Labs Quantum Room Simulator. Relab’s is also good. The only thing I don’t like about Relab’s is the controls aren’t there same as Quantec’s.
