Violin One is a free virtual instrument that takes a completely new path. Unlike the Hybrid Modeling technology used in many of our other instruments, Violin One combines physical modeling with behavior modeling. This results in a smaller footprint and excellent playability.

A standout feature of Violin One is its support for MIDI 2.0 and MPE, offering users an entirely new way to interact with the instrument through their devices. The higher resolution of MIDI 2.0 provides more precise control over the sound, along with numerous advantages when used with the latest MIDI 2.0-compatible keyboards and controllers.

Violin One is a virtual instrument with great potential, and we’re committed to continuously improving it. We greatly value user feedback—it’s the driving force behind the evolution of Violin One.

Key Feature

Physical Modeling technology with a small size (20MB)
Embodied Microphone Modeling and 3D panner Effect Unit
Support latest MIDI 2.0 and MPE
Behavior Modeling on different techniques
Provides VST3 Version (Now only Windows Version, as Mac Version now need signing and notarize, it will take more time)

Thanks for the info! Appriciated

This has a lot of depth, especially for a free product. Thank you. I was struggling to get a violin track to sound how I wanted with a sample-based track, and this seems like a winner so far. Very much appreciated.

Awesome, thanks for this! Sounds really good...

I couldn't get it to work in Cakewalk.

Folders with part of the name being SEM, is that SynthEdit?

Which version of Cakewalk are you using? I made a few demos for Sound Magic years ago (using Sonar), when they were developing their piano plug-in. I don't remember anything related to SynthEdit back then; I thought the plug-in had been coded by them from the ground up, essentially.

I was going to try this plug-in anyway, so I'll see if my installation of Cakewalk has any issues.

AFAIK I know it’s the latest free version of Cakewalk by Bandlab. It works with nearly every other plugin I’ve ever tried.

Well, Cakewalk's plug-in manager throws up a "component->initialize" error when I run the VST scan, so I can't even get Cakewalk to accept the plug-in in the first place. If I tell Cakewalk to enable the plug-in anyway, it doesn't show up in the list of available VST3 plug-ins.

Like you, I've rarely had trouble with Cakewalk and plug-ins. I can't even remember the last time I had an issue installing or using a new plug-in.

I was going to download the latest version of Piano One, but it appears my account is gone. (I haven't used it in years.) Don't know if I'll bother trying to resurrect it.

For what it's worth, I see the "SEM" folders you're referring to. I don't know what they are, of course. The piano plug-in I beta-tested and developed demo songs for had most of the plug-in in a .DLL, with gigabyte-size libraries stored in .INS files. Seems a bit different from what they're doing now. Hope you get it straightened out!
