Peter, I'm truly not asking to give you grief, but does that mean the idea of "T-Racks Singles" doesn't exist any more? Like, one couldn't just buy Lurssen Mastering EQ by itself? They have to first own some paid version of T-Racks, THEN buy Lurssen Mastering EQ? Or if I just ponied up for Lurssen Mastering EQ, would it work with the free T-Racks 6 Intro?
Again, really not trying to give you a hard time, I'm truly just still trying to wrap my head around the new paradigm for T-Racks. It was easier to understand when there was a free tier (T-Racks Custom Shop) and anything you owned or bought as a single just worked. From what I'm gathering, you have to have some paid level of T-Racks 6 for anything in the TR6 range to work.

Lurssen Mastering EQ works in the free T-RackS 6 Intro. You only need a paid version in order to run your T-RackS 5 plugins you have inside T-RackS 6.Funkybot's Evil Twin wrote: Thu Apr 17, 2025 10:23 pm Peter, I'm truly not asking to give you grief, but does that mean the idea of "T-Racks Singles" doesn't exist any more? I see we do mention that specifically but I accept some grief since it is at the bottom of the page: https://www.ikmultimedia.com/products/t ... steringeq/

It's not part of T-Racks 6 Max. It needs to be purchased separately. I think there's some kind of manager that will let you hide or uninstall modules you don't own.*qtheerearranger wrote: Fri Apr 18, 2025 3:42 pm I downloaded tracks 6 max as someone who paid for it - it downloaded this new eq - and says it's not part of my collection??? why did it download then.. am I bugged and it should be working or??
Max doesn't mean "everything" IK in parlance. It's the founder of IK's name that they just worked into product titles: Maximilian Innocenzo Kalamari (or IK, Max). So they just use that suffix in a lot of product names.**

The official information is on our web site. It clearly states Lurssen Mastering EQ is not in T-RackS 6 MAX and we also provide a comparison chart with everything that is in each version specifically. I would consider that the official response if what I posted above wasn't clear.

I‘ve now been using it for quite a while and really like it. I use it when I want super broad strokes. I would’ve liked it even more reduced to avoid option paralysis but that’s just me.

Wait, so T-Racks 6 plugins (Singles) dont run as VST, like every other version of your plugins previously, that is horrendous!Peter - IK Multimedia wrote: Thu Apr 17, 2025 10:33 pmLurssen Mastering EQ works in the free T-RackS 6 Intro. They do run as plugins. No idea where you got the bad info. T-racks 6 actually includes a nice plugin manager this time around (a separate application) which lets you specify which plugins are installed.bungle wrote: Sun Apr 20, 2025 2:53 am Wait, so T-Racks 6 plugins (Singles) dont run as VST, like every other version of your plugins previously, that is horrendous!

Not responding to you directly just to the situation.
I saw in the IK Software Manager there is an "update" for my T-Racks 6 Max installation. Cool I thought, let me see what's included in the release notes. Wait, what? I don't even have the Lurssen EQ installed:
So the EQ is not included in the plugins you get with TRacks 6 Max but they're more than happy use TRacks to install it on your system so they can hopefully entice you into buying it?
Ok fine it's not included in Max, I get that and don't care as I have a million EQs already but then don't install it on my system with a simple TR 6 Max update without my permission. I don't want to buy it = I don't want it on my system. Pretty simple.
You do not have the required permissions to view the files attached to this post.

Them using the same installer for all T-Racks isn't new though. That's always been the case as far back as I can recall. I mean, I could be wrong, but I think even when you bought T-Racks "Singles" in the past, you weren't getting individual installers and always had to download the latest T-Racks update. It's always been annoying. UA does the same thing with their DSP plugins (though, thankfully not their native plugins).
At least now there's some kind of "Module Manager" that let's you do maintenance on them apparently.
It's definitely annoying and seems geared towards "just try these other T-Racks products, they're already on your machine."

No, it's not new but users have been complaining about it for a long time.Funkybot's Evil Twin wrote: Sun Apr 20, 2025 3:33 pm Them using the same installer for all T-Racks isn't new though.
One of the reasons I upgraded to Max is so I would have all the modules even ones I probably won't use but forcing new ones on my system that I don't own just defeats that purpose. I get the desire for IK to add new modules and that's fine but forcing them on us through a simple update is what bothers me. My studio computer is not their store front as much as they would like it to be.
The first T-Racks plugins I purchased going on twenty years ago perhaps came on an installation CD. I think the whole store front thing came later but I can hardly remember what I had for breakfast let alone what happened nearly two decades ago.Funkybot's Evil Twin wrote: Sun Apr 20, 2025 3:33 pmThat's always been the case as far back as I can recall. Is that a separate piece of software or included in TR 6 or? Google is not finding anything.Funkybot's Evil Twin wrote: Sun Apr 20, 2025 3:33 pmAt least now there's some kind of "Module Manager" that let's you do maintenance on them apparently.
Right now I'd like to run it on the MODO Drum and Bass plugins to hide collections I don't own so I don't have to constantly scroll past locked kits and bass models to get to the ones I own. Maybe there is a way but I haven't found it yet.
Yes it's all about the marketing which is redundant since they already have the "Custom Shop" which could be used to demo, download, and purchase any plugins from them without having things forced onto our systems without our consent.Funkybot's Evil Twin wrote: Sun Apr 20, 2025 3:33 pmIt's definitely annoying and seems geared towards "just try these other T-Racks products, they're already on your machine."
I love the T-Racks and other IK plugins enough to put up with their skulduggery but god they annoy me at times.

Yes, when you install T-Racks6, you're also getting a standalone "Modules Manager". From there, you can toggle whatever products you don't want to see off, then click Apply and it will remove those modules.
So instead of letting you uncheck them during install, you install all, then remove the ones you don't want via the Module Manager to uninstall them. It's more steps. But i'ts IK! If there's a way to turn one click into three, they'll find it!

Still, this is a big improvement over TR5.

Peter, saying this and that is clearly mentioned on the website isn’t helpful. Obviously there are a lot of confused customers. You can actually hear that and be helpful or you can just tell all your customers they’re wrong for being confused.
