Seems like they are releasing their automatic AI equalizer on 04/07.

This is quite impressive. Eq'ing is about making decisions in context with the rest of the mix, which is why I'm glade they've included a sidechain feature where you can feed the AI parts of the mix so it can also make better informed decisions.
I didn't realise at first, but you canals use this thing like a regular eq if you wanted to.

It’s great that you can still use it as a traditional EQ if you prefer that approach. I’m looking forward to trying it out and seeing how it handles different tracks. Have you had a chance to test it yet?

I feel I need to clarify myself here, and correct a few typos...simon.a.billington wrote: Tue Apr 15, 2025 7:23 am This is quite impressive. I didn't realise at first, but you can always use this thing like a regular eq if you wanted to.
The sidechain feature isn't to listen to your mix or parts of it and base its processing decisions based on that. It's used to help you find and address any frequency making issues it may have with other tracks, like iZotope's Unmask features.
It seems the goal of Curves AQ is more to prepare tracks, helping the user to clean them up and balance them ready for further processing. It's not trying to be an all in one solution that some may think it is.
This video with Justin Colletti goes into it in more detail...
