I had the Soma Ener for a while and while it was fun to use, I haven’t found a way to integrate it reliably into my music. It’s definitely the “me” problem as I think if you have someone tame it, and get consistent results, it’ll provide a bunch of great sonic stuff which is hard to reproduce any other way.Constructed Identity wrote: Sun Apr 20, 2025 12:51 am

Now in the video however there is another piece of gear that I have grown to love. The Neon Egg Planetarium (https://neonegg.com/what-is-the-planetarium/). Now that’s another wild piece of gear, but one I found very easy to dial in a great effect. It’s got an amazing effects chain built in along with compression and a side chain signal input that just makes it so versatile and easy to use that it’ll make any basic, barebones synth come to life. I’d say in that video, the Neon Egg is 56.7% of the magic.

Yes, Planetarium is great for adding lush verbs to an essentially dry sound coming out of Enner. Especially important for the clicky left side of Enner which one day I will try to sequence by clocking it to Pamela’s pro workout. Don’t forget the audio in which is fun to send a drum machine into.
