There's a new extended map that I am doing in Studiophonik that has ANOTHER center and edge and octave down and ANOTHER set of edge and bell for ride an octave up from those as well. This adds some more realism and varation available to you. Then there are a few extra things like cymbal chokes, foot opening on the hat and some other misc performance stuff like swells etc. So, I might even play some early Studiophonik drums at this gig. We'll see. I am still not sure yet. It could either be really cool or really sloppy. If there was a lot of time to rehearse then we could work up something wicked. I like the idea of the drum duet on keys actually because Larry can play from the keys pretty darn good. Actually, it's possible that he blows me away at it! Can you imagine? Here I practice all the time and get recognition around here for keyboard drumming and I go on stage just to get blown away at it? That and then of course Ricky Lawson on a real kit... a little "reality check"? (ie. Squids, you're not THAT good, go back to your piano!
