Always a good idea to mention what OS you're on, because for me on Mac OS Sequoia and Apple Silicon it's fine.BoogerSnot wrote: Mon Apr 14, 2025 8:49 pm The main thing I like about Scaler 3 so far, is how it always crashes, reminding me why I mainly use hardware now.![]()
Seriously, tried it across multiple DAWs now, and can't even get anything going on the arranger page without it crashing. Quality!![]()

I actually found one of the problems: Editing MIDI on a progression track, which can be avoided by resizing the section on the track itself, except then you can't see the chord name if you shorten the section.machinesworking wrote: Tue Apr 15, 2025 5:33 amAlways a good idea to mention what OS you're on, because for me on Mac OS Sequoia and Apple Silicon it's fine.BoogerSnot wrote: Mon Apr 14, 2025 8:49 pm The main thing I like about Scaler 3 so far, is how it always crashes, reminding me why I mainly use hardware now.![]()

Also, I just spent about 45 minute working on a nice progression, saving along the way to make sure I don't lose anything. Then it starts playing a different progression... Huh? Okay no problem, let me just reload my save... Which then plays that same different progression (which I didn't save).
I love paying to be a beta tester! It's great.
Same OS as you by the way.
Yo Leroy!

A few other useful additions have been mentioned for 3.1, but I forget what they are now. Stability is the main feature I want.TheMaestro wrote: Mon Apr 21, 2025 1:51 pmYes. In v3.1. This has to be the buggiest release I've ever come across.
It's insanely unstable for me.
I use Ableton and Pro Tools and both DAWS have completely crashed because of Scaler 3 numerous times.
In another instance I had to disable all plugins in Live and go into the session and delete all instances of Scaler 3 becuase the session would give me a fatal error every time I opened it.
It's been pretty abysmal for me.

Thanks god for Bitwigs Plugin sandboxing there, but yeah, it feels like a really undercooked release with many rather annoying things. No fun to use ATM for me.

Undercooked is putting it mildly.
I could live with it having a buggy feature or too but the fact that it pulls down the whole app with it is unforgiveable.
And I'm certainly not the only one with issues.
