I love the sound of this filter, but bizarrely GForce decided to remove the ability to use ImpOSCar as an FX send in ImpOSCar 3. It's also a pain to have to export sample files to then add into Omnisphere to be able to use the Power Filter.

Anyone know of any VST versions of this filter or another with a very similar smooth, musical sound?

Thanks!

What's your DAW? Ableton Auto Filter's OSR model is supposed to be an Oscar filter, and based on the fact that I'm pretty sure it's a Cytomic algorithm, you could check out The Drop and see if that suits your needs if you don't have Ableton

I do have Ableton! Great to know, will experiment with it a bit and see how it compares. Thanks for the tip!

The Drop has this. The mentioned Ableton filter was licensed from Cytomic, it's the Drop filter in eco mode. The more CPU intensive mode of the filter from The Drop wasn't available in Ableton originally but maybe that has changed, unsure.

Did some testing with The Drop demo and the OSR filters in Ableton, The Drop definitely has a different sound and one that I prefer – alternately either cleaner or with more stereo richness/depth. Just bought it, zero regrets, absolutely beautiful sound!

Thanks for buying The Drop! Inside The Drop you have access to arbitrary oversampling (x2 realtime is the default), and higher quality models in terms of the HD mode, higher amounts of resonance, and per sample update of all modulation. All of those things add up to a smoother, and better sound, but at the cost of more cpu. You can disable most of this to save cpu, apart from the per sample modulation update.
