looks interesting, but really should put up some sound demos.
There's a lot of sound demos in the player at the bottom of that page.

I never upgraded, and this seems the best opportunity. However, I'm still not sure it offers anything that unique. It would be nice to play around with an extra oscillator, but not having panning is a major missing feature. A few days to decide...

Depends on what type of music you are doing I guess.
I was lukewarm on the original Legend, but this one I love...
The extra oscillators, the MSEG's, the Effects, the Presets..
Made it one of my favourite synths..

You get 6 oscillators instead of 3, the mod matrix as 12 slots instead of just 3, more polyphony and better envelope options

An analog style subtractive synth with 6 Oscillators and a huge mod matrix is pretty unique

I was thinking about a Moog One, but remembered Legend HZ exists... well, thanks for stopping me at least. :)

stupid question, does the upgrade offer go through april 22nd still or stops exactly when april 22nd starts? :D

Yeah, the text is ambiguous, but since it's an easter promotion quite likely it ends on the start of the 22nd.
I went and bought it, though I'm not confident I'll get a huge amount of use from it.

I think I said it early in the thread but the same thing still strikes me, this really should have had the very nice LFOs from Dune to make it fully versatile.

Not really but you get my point. Where do you stop adding things?

I would rather have them add a "Legend" mode to DUNE 3 although it's already possible to get very close and then way beyond.

So why have MSEGs? There's a core sound and then there's some additional control: MSEGs and LFOs allow control over that core sound. That would be a natural resting point imo. It seems the reason against it was to avoid a tabbed UI, but the individual MSEGs are effectively tabbed.

Probably because Hans asked for it, and he didn't ask for those LFOs. Most of the decisions are reflected in the name of the instrument, me thinks :hihi:

Well in that case, if you're listening Hans, please ask for some LFOs. The nice ones from Dune.
