Yes, the FX are good also, and so I would use it more liberally as an FX plugin throughout projects if I knew development would continue.Teksonik wrote: Tue Apr 22, 2025 1:45 pm It gives me the confidence to use Rapid more frequently and since it is one of the top three synths in my rather extensive collection that's a very good thing......![]()
Playing with it again, the chorus sounds great, the distortion has a dual-band option, Multiband saturation... all very nice.
Every day takes figuring out all over again how to f#ckin’ live.

Thanks, I completely forgot that Rapid has an FX version. I really need to look into using it.chagzuki wrote: Tue Apr 22, 2025 2:12 pm Yes, the FX are good also, and so I would use it more liberally as an FX plugin

Can you fix the MAC repeating windows when authorising please. Fixed in Windows but not in Macparawave wrote: Tue Apr 22, 2025 1:20 pm The release of 1.9 will be postponed for a while. Not for a long time though. Part of the reason is a relatively late addition of three new modules. Optional Smoothing, Combinator and Generator per routing entry. Testing took longer than expected. So the "hopefully easter" was a bit too optimistic with that in mind. Sorry for that. That's the reason why naming concrete dates is always a dare.
There will be no silence after either. 1.9.5 should follow much more quickly than usual. The included features are uncertain at the moment. Just a rough set, so the time it takes is also uncertain. Goal being summer/fall. Some keywords: Quantizer + Arp improvements. So anything note/pitch related is the general theme and motivation.

Indeed. Afaik the main developer is Rene Sanders who I don't think does any work for Refx.
The one thing they do have in common is Mirko Ruta, who does sound design and does some software development "DSP Elements" (at least effect plugins) for both. (he also does the same for vengeance sounds)

Just as a reminder this was on April 22nd:
So less than two and a half months ago. Will be "postponed for a while. Not for a long time though" is an undefined amount of time so we just have to be patient.parawave wrote: Tue Apr 22, 2025 1:20 pm The release of 1.9 will be postponed for a while. as we/i said, this is just always the same move from Parawave so far each year, and it seems to be the same again, BF2025 maybe minor updates or the teaserupgrade he announced.
the marketing and interaction with the customers/users of Rapid is just awful. i wouldnt pay this dev any more.

It's a free update, anyway, so you don't have to pay for it. I don't know why you'd get mad over an already-functioning product receiving free update that the developer said was going to be later than anticipated. The existing version of Rapid works fine for me.
