Ask Hans Zimmer. Legend HZ was designed to his specs. I guess he didn't feel the need for Dune 3's LFOs to be added. The man's body of work would indicate he knows what he's doing so perhaps he's more focused on composition than modulation.
chagzuki wrote: Tue Apr 22, 2025 1:23 pmThat would be a natural resting point imo.
Your opinion is obviously not shared by the people who created Legend HZ. If it's something you feel strongly about then post at the Synapse forum where your opinion is more likely to be seen and addressed.

Well in that case, if you're listening Hans, please ask for some LFOs. The nice ones from Dune.
The Legend HZ has a ton of things visible to DAW Automation therefore it's possible to easily use other tools to create dozens of additional LFOs

I HIGHLY recommend using Voltage Modular from Cherry Audio. In your DAW of choice you insert VM into a track, inside of VM you then host and ring The Legend HZ, then you can creat dozens of LFOs to modulate whatever you want

Even virtual modulars seems to be an endless rabbit hole.

Ah, interesting. I never looked into that, assuming it was tied to the Cherry Audio ecosystem.

Has anyone ever been able to create a plausible acoustic piano sound on TheLegendHZ or can it not be done?

I can put an lfo on any parameter in my host. I assumed all hosts have that these days?

Of course, it's separate from the plugin, so...

You can always use the msegs as lfos...

A polyphonic LFO with sample and glide?

Just an LFO. I don't know what an LFO with sample and glide is.

As far as I know, the only way you can apply polyphonic modulation externally is if the plugin is CLAP, and even then not all instruments support it (e.g. the new version of TyrellN6).

Just checked my account and the offer is still there, 10:30pm UK time.

Any idea as to when Synapse Audio has their next Sale event ?

I'm looking forward to purchase the Legend-HZ if it goes on sale.

Any feedback on this would be appreciated.

Thanks,

New free update

https://www.synapse-audio.com/news-tlhz21.html

From Synapse:
We have updated The Legend HZ to version 2.1.

The main addition is a paragraphic equalizer on the back panel, giving more tonal shaping options directly within the instrument. The compressor section also receives an upgrade with a new saturation feature, adding warmth and character to the final output.

For users working with alternative tuning systems, the updated version introduces microtuning support via MTS-ESP, opening up The Legend HZ to a wider range of musical styles and experimental workflows.

Rounding out the update are 50 new factory presets crafted by professional sound designer Kevin Schroeder, ready to use straight out of the box!

Too bad there’s no sale on TLHZ and no more « entry price » for a Synapse Moog emu. But yes great & complex job so price seems right. But a mini mini Legend would be nice ;-)
