thread title change is hilarious "Arturia V Collection 11! FINALLY!"
like v10 didn't come out like 45 minutes ago or something.

To be fair, the JP-8000 can be considered a "vintage" keyboard now so it fits with the theme.
Arturia first released their Jupiter 8 emulation in 2007. At that time the Jupiter 8 was 26 years old (first released in 1981). The JP-8000 is now 28 years old, released in 1997. So it's actually older than the Jupiter 8 was when they first emulated it.
Take a single oscillator, producing a drone. Send it to the wave shaper, altering the tone.
This can be a triangle, Sawtooth or a square. Modulate the pulse width, nobody will care

Same here. The SEM is one of my favourites from the analogs. Worried about a revamped one. They sometimes lose more than they gain with these updates. But either nothing I’m too into for now if the list is accurate. Maybe update in a big sale some time.noiseboyuk wrote: Fri Apr 18, 2025 12:32 pmSEM is a very bizarre choice to have picked for sure. It has always been well received, whereas we all know there are others in the archive that need love.Zipede wrote: Fri Apr 18, 2025 10:48 amSo it looks like they're only updating the SEM this time. Was really hoping the Arp 2600 or Modular would be getting an update. If not, this may be my first pass![]()
It's not a hugely compelling list for me either. But in 18 months time on Black Friday when it's $99, it'll probably be time for me to weaken.
I’m also not sure Arturia will get the JP-8000 right. Synths of that era had aliasing and artifacts that made them very sharp, gritty and bright sounding, and there was a charm in that. Arturia has always been the opposite and had a softer sound. Even though sound comparison ms seem to stack up well against the real things for the dx7 and prophet vs, I don’t know why I still feel a bit if Arturia softness as if everything has their TAE anti-aliasing softenizer on it.

This seems to have been taken down now. It described many of the additions already guessed, andherbaltree wrote: Wed Apr 23, 2025 4:28 pm Some details here (if in Spanish)

Did it explain what the lofi vintage sampler was? Is it an emulation of something, or is it their win creationherbaltree wrote: Wed Apr 23, 2025 4:36 pmThis seems to have been taken down now. I have always thought a new instrument "inspired" by the old Casio and Yamaha toy samplers from the 1980s would be a lot of fun

I've always been a little disappointed how clean the existing Arturia samplers are. It's been a while, but my old Akai X7000 was super lofi. Dropping samples into the Emu is way clean, relatively speaking.

Future Music ES seem to be fully aboard the hype train
"For now, we just want to tell you this: If you've ever had a thing for synthesizers, the classics of the past, or the hybrids of the future, prepare for something big, huge . Because tomorrow, April 24th, a new cycle begins in the world of virtual instruments."

The page locked me out as I was reading it, but it seemed to be their own instrument. It had three sections - the first being natural instrument sounds - but that's all I got.

Use the google search: "arturia V collection 11" site:futuremusic-es.com
And go to images, they are still available as I post this. There are two of the JP-8000 that are different than what have been seen so far, and they are in the Arturia style GUIs we are used to.

The 'page' is back, but with different content. It previously had an in-depth guide with lots of screen-shots etc. Presumably posted in error.D-Fusion wrote: Wed Apr 23, 2025 5:15 pm The page is up again but it is only speculations and no real info so i guess we have to wait 1 more day![]()
