It's not actually the same link. Not on the playlist I made. But I'll re-add it.
I have that image of giraffe here on forum for fast link to Soundcloud and it's the same link. It still works with new song. Strange. I expect that it must be somehow different, but... I didn't change that html code on image at all and still it works. Maybe different links types. Who knows.

This song took several tries to get to where I want it. Once i fleshed out the idea, I started layering sounds to get a fuller feel for the track and to decorate the space. I'm particularly proud of the kick, which is three active instances of the synth, i crafted the envelopes down to the millisecond and used an oscilloscope to precisely dial in the timing. I had several initial approaches for the kick none of which worked well. I worked a lot on the percussion to get metallic sounds using the FM function of the synth and also using a lot of EQ to peak frequencies. I wouldn't say I went full 11/10 but I went 9/10 on EQ. I also used some distortion, to about 5/10. I accentuated sounds but did not completely destroy them. A lot of texture to certain percussion was obtained by layering different sounds at different pitches and also different FM ratios etc. Playing with envelopes goes a long way.

The bass sounds are all very simple actually and most are a few layers deep with different waveforms FM-ing at different ratios and pitches. I was going to go ballistic on the basses and use EQ, clipping and even convolution to obliterate the sound. But to avoid being DQ i opted for the PG 13 version.

the amount of automation in this project with greater than 100 instances of the synth has made it a chore to navigate. Some midi clips have 6 or 7 layers of automation and other have only one but heavily adjusted everywhere. the automation I used the most is volume. Cutting sounds so they don't interfere with other sounds and to cut reverb tails, and also to shape sounds since i did not like the way the envelopes in the synth itself worked at times. Working with audio clips would have made this much easier. I do not think I will go this hard for OSC ever again. But then again...it was kinda fun...

The song is clipped and compressed severely. I could have pushed it harder but i did NOT!! in order to preserve that last gasp of dynamic range that was slowly waiting to die. This is not a ballad, or classical, its dubstep - or something like it.

The song got its name from the distinct digital alarm sound that we're all so familiar with. I used it in the buildup, in the drop, everywhere...

Nothing on the master except Gclip and ReaLimiter.

Thats all i got

Just a quick note to say that I have updated my track (above) with a new bass sound derived from a patch kindly listed on the Discord by @Taron. More attack, and a little bit of fizz, moving the sound more towards an upright bass vs a bass guitar, if that makes any sort of sense.

My submission for this month. It's just a simple ambient-ish piece, because I didn't like the synth enough to spend more time with it. Maybe I just didn't study it enough in detail, but I experienced some quirky behavior (e.g. non-deterministic envelopes and LFO). Also, why do we have to deal with mono synths in 2025? Just a rhetorical question :-)

Anyway, all sounds created from scratch. Produced in Cakewalk. 17 instances of Monolit. epicCLOUDS, OTT, LFX-1310, midiPolyphony and W1 Limiter as the external FX.

Well, mono synths are great for leads and basses, so why not. At least good mono synths.

BTW. LFX-1310 is kind of multi effect, so it would be nice to made detailed description what effects was used from it.

Is it only me or anyone else thinks its a scam tactic to provide all your information for a free download?

Well, you can do leads and basses with a polyphonic synth :-) I just think that a mono synth is not competitive these days, that's all.

About the LFX-1310. On this track I only used one instance of it in a send bus for a ping-pong delay.

I didn't feel comfortable with this either. Luckily it didn't seem to check the other fields, so I just gave the email and filled in XXX in the rest of the fields.

My use of LFX is usually confined to the auto panning - feel comfortable with that one.

Hi guys, here is my entry for the month called Moonlight Groove I hope you enjoy it. I made it using 16 instances of Moonlit in Ableton Live 11 using the following effects. Drum buss, EQ Eight, Color limiter, Glue compressor, Reverb, Compressor, Ozome Imager 2, Re-Enveloper, Delay, Auto Filter, Note Length, Utility, Pitch, Youlean loudness meter 2.

I will, unfortunately, be going in for surgery tomorrow so I have had to rush completing it today and am hopeful I will be out early enough to get my voting done around the recovery and rehab. Good luck, everyone.
