But this is the Arturia cycle. They're very consistent with their pricing model.foosnark wrote: Thu Apr 24, 2025 7:26 pm I think they've kind of doomed themselves a bit with their sale prices.
Black Friday: $149 upgraded me from owning 2 instruments to owning 39.
Now: $199 upgrade would bring me from 39 to 45.
(More importantly, I am not excited about any of the new ones...)

Too easy guy....The You Tube's Arturia Channel, various video by creators and the Arturia website are your friends.
I'm looking at these sources, there's a lot of stuff. Interestingly it seems that the Augmented V2 plugins are also available to who owned V1, no need to buy them for who already has V1 if I understand well

299 euros for me to upgrade from V Collection 9. Guess I'm still staying at nine then.

Something strange going on with SEM. There's supposed to be a new re-worked version.
I guess it must be one of those that charges extra if you want to update it outside the collection.
ASC shows my SEM as up to date, while there are many others that can be updated.
There is no update offer for me like there usually is with reworked versions.
SEM was updated for me at the end of last year and it looks different than the new one.
I also think it's going to be a hard sell when there's the GForce SEM.
I have both, but prefer the GForce version by far.

Are you seeing an offer to purchase it? Or is it only included in the collection.
I have SEM V, but it can't be updated.

Updates to existing plugins are free, but the new SEM is one of the ones they rebuilt from scratch, and is considered a separate product.felis wrote: Thu Apr 24, 2025 11:03 pm Something strange going on with SEM. There's supposed to be a new re-worked version.

I haven't spent much time with the new version or compared it with the GForce version (which I also have), but it seems very unlikely Arturia would do a better job than GForce anyway. In general, Arturia's rebuilt plugins have been quite good, closing the gap and putting them roughly on par with the competition in terms of emulation quality (which is just fine, really), but they haven't leapfrogged anyone so far.

They seem to understand that but were saying that there is no upgrade price showing in their account for V3, which is what usually shows in these scenarios.Arashi wrote: Fri Apr 25, 2025 5:56 amUpdates to existing plugins are free, but the new SEM is one of the ones they rebuilt from scratch, and is considered a separate product.felis wrote: Thu Apr 24, 2025 11:03 pm Something strange going on with SEM. I suspect that it may be a glitch that will be resolved.

I think it also happened with the Moog Mini V emulation when they updated it...db3 wrote: Fri Apr 25, 2025 8:27 am Annoyingly SEM V2 presets are not compatible with V3. It sounds a bit better to me, but not hugely so. The Advanced section is useful though.
