I own 3 Arturia synths and my upgrade cost is $399. One might say that's still a good bargain until you factor in the parts of the collection I have no need of or interest in such as all the Keyboards, Organs, Pianos, and the Augmented stuff.
So that's 18 things I don't want, add the three I already own and that leaves only 24 new that I may have a use for so the value plummets considerably.
I would love to see Arturia do a "custom bundle" where we could select four or five of our favorites for a reasonable cost.
$400-$700 for any collection is a hard ask in this economy.
I might be interested in the JP 8000 since it does looks dead sexy but in the end is it anything more than a 2 Osc synth with Supersaw? I have synths with 24 Oscs and Supersaw or Unison/Spread capabilities so the 8000 would have to absolutely blow anything I already own out of the water sound wise.
Like all new plugins it's going to suffer from what I call "Fat Folder Syndrome" where I just have so many other synths in my collection that it's hard for anything new to make an impression. Any new synth has to do something very different or something much better than what I already own and that bar is getting harder and harder to jump over.
At any rate I'll give the 8000 a demo later today and who knows maybe it will blow me away but my gut instinct tells me that is not highly likely.

Deleting the presets folder and re-installing is working for me. I'm on 9 but downloaded the Augmented updates and had this problem with them.
The 'Re-install' option in ASC seems to be broken. It just Un-installs for me.

I'm quite enjoying the Lofi plugin. There are lots of presets that are right up my alley with only a little tweaking. Wasn't expecting to bond with it, but it's probably my favorite Arturia VI now.

Downloaded the new ones - don't get the JUP-8000V or Minibrute at all but the Lo-Fi plugin is surprisingly good, feels very much like a modern Mellotron.
Arturia desperately needs to give you the ability to lock parameters - like effects off or the master volume.

Yeah my update was $100 for me and Lofi alone is worth it for me. I do wish it could be used as an effect but it's a great pad machine as it is. Looking forward to taking a deeper dive into it over the weekend.

The Lofi plugin is pretty amazing. Love the JP8000 plugin as well. Pretty solid upgrade for $99
Arturia great job, please consider the Alesis Andromeda next time

What makes you eligible for $99 upgrade?
I have V Collection X, FX Collection 5 and Pigments 6 yet my upgrade is $199.

V Collection 11 comes with some instruments that Arturia has already released that you could buy individually. So if you already have V Collection X and those instruments you get 11 for $99 because you are essentially just getting JP-8000 and Pure LoFILoveEnigma18 wrote: Fri Apr 25, 2025 5:17 pm What makes you eligible for $99 upgrade?

And that's their typical move. I think the upgrade price is normally $199. They'll typically release two new synths off-cycle. This time around it was the SynthX and Minibrute.IvyBirds wrote: Fri Apr 25, 2025 5:29 pmV Collection 11 comes with some instruments that Arturia has already released that you could buy individually. Assuming you're on the latest prior version of VCollection, your upgrade price is $199 to start ($299 if an older version of VCollection). Then it will drop further if you paid full-price for the off-cycle synths that they released. 1 out of 2, I believe, gets you a $149 upgrade price, and 2 out of 2 brings it down to $99.

I've bought SynthX and MiniBrute before the release of Collection 11.
My upgrade was 99 bucks.
SynthX is no longer separately sellable, but MiniBrute (what just happened
Therefore my upgrade was even a bit cheaper.
Good deal imo.

From what I've seen, each person's upgrade cost is only affected by which version of V Collection and individual instruments that they own. I don't think owning the FX Collection or individual effects factors in toward the upgrade cost/discount, which is quite unfortunate (but, someone please correct me if I'm wrong).LoveEnigma18 wrote: Fri Apr 25, 2025 5:17 pm What makes you eligible for $99 upgrade?

Still, if this is the case, he should get a larger discount for owning VCX and P6 over me who owns VCX and FC5 but doesn't own P6.cryophonik wrote: Fri Apr 25, 2025 8:58 pmFrom what I've seen, each person's upgrade cost is only affected by which version of V Collection and individual instruments that they own. The upgrade pricing is a bit hodgepodge imo. If I was looking to upgrade VC I'd probably send a polite inquiry to their customer support and see if they can get a better discount, pointing out the products currently owned.
