db3 wrote: Fri Apr 25, 2025 8:27 am Annoyingly SEM V2 presets are not compatible with V3. It sounds a bit better to me, but not hugely so. The Advanced section is useful though.
I think it also happened with the Moog Mini V emulation when they updated it...

Yep and the Jupiter 8 a few years before that. I am actually happy they were not afraid to break backwards compatibility as the new versions are completely new plugins so old patches wouldn't sound the same anyway, and the previous version lives happily alongside the new one if you have any old projects using it

So the were free to develop the best plugin possible with new features without worrying about of it would work with the previous version

As usual, it's nice to have some of the new product's presets in Analog Lab, even though I'm still using V Collection 8.

mabian wrote: Thu Apr 24, 2025 4:49 pm I don't know if it's related, but almost all of my Arturia plugins have today an update in Arturia Software Center.
And many of them are failing the update, the installer complains about missing parameters and forces interactive update (must go through the wizard...). Am I the only one?
It's been reported elsewhere and I have the same issue; I'm on Windows.
Thanks for confirming.
I set the VST3 folder in the preferences (and cleared the "AAX" flag to avoid installing AAX plugins). I'm now installing one by one in the ASC, and it seems to work. The ones that failed previously are no longer marked for update, so I guess they are in an indefinite state. Will try forcing the reinstall later.

BTW, I'm on Windows too.
I just tried updating and have this error message, probably the same one others are getting. Windows here also.

I got that message but pressing OK just continued with the install as normal

The same here.. after ok you just have to point to vst3 folder. Copy n Paste many times..
All working after that. Just a waste of time doing it manually..

So my $299 upgrade is the most expensive upgrade price? If I wait for V Collection 12 it will hopefully still be $299?

Post

Usually the upgrade prices drop when some time is gone, especially just before a new version is to be expected.
Patience is the key. I‘ll wait just before collection 13 appears, or if 12 doesn‘t offer enough even longer… The only interesting addition is the Jup 8000 for me, that isn‘t enough to be tempted…

So how does that work? I own V Collection X and my upgrade offer is € 199.

I have V Collection X, FX collection , a Keylab (which includes in bundle Analog Lab Pro) and still my upgrade price is 199. Go figure... EDIT... and I also have Pigments :\

I have V8 collection, FX5 collection, Keylab 49, Pigments, and other Arturia stuff, and my upgrade price is $299. :x

To get the $99 price you would have needed to purchase all the releases since V Collection X was released. These include things like Augmented Mallets, Augmented YANGTZE and Synthx V.

The upgrade paths are pretty simple from what I can tell:

$299 if coming from an older version of V-Collection
$199 if coming from the latest version of V-Collection
$149 if you have the latest version of V-Collection + either of SynthX or MiniBrute (1 of 2)
$99 if you have the latest version of V-Collection + SynthX AND MiniBrute (2 of 2)

I had V-collectionX, Augmented Yangtze, free intro augmented mallets, FX5 and Keylab Mk2 and upgraded for £149
I don't think Keylab or FX5 alter the price. So it seems 1 synth knocks £50 off the upgrade price, which seems fair. Although if you bought all 3 of the separate synths before the new upgrade, you lose out £50 it seems... unless anyone received a £49 upgrade offer.

It's kind of crazy. I own Pigments, V Collection 9, FX Collection 4, Coldfire and a bunch of various soundsets for Pigments and my upgrade prices is $299. I would end up getting all the updated models plus maybe 8 new synths, but it's still way too expensive. It is more expensive than what I paid initially for V Collection 9 (BF sale though). If my price ever dips below $200, I may bite.

Same here, I'm on V9, I would have to be nuts to pay another €299 to get V11
