I've had the Mackie Big Knob for years and it has served me well. There are too many issues with it, so it's time to replace it.The new version of the Big Knob has a built-in audio interface, and the smaller passive version is too small.

I use a fairly powerful PC with either a Focusrite or RME audio interface; and a Mac Studio with an Apogee. I don't want/need the built-in audio interface on the new Big Knob. I'm sending audio to two studio monitors (though 2 pairs would be nice), and I sometimes use headphones.

Does anyone have ideas for a replacement of the old Mackie Big knob? Thank you.

Heritage Audio Baby RAM is awesome.

The ARC is another (digital) option if you are using RME. It has a Total Mix setting to A/B monitor sets and assignable buttons/mute groups for headphone mixes.

That looks pretty good. Like the Neve styling.

Seems reasonable value as well if the sound quality is good.

When you have RME then get ARC : https://rme-audio.de/arc-usb.html

It's cheap (144 euro), customisable, and controls everything digitally thus never any loss in sound quality.
