Confused about the chords (please see attachment).

I have exported now the first 2 patterns, only the chords (evything else switched off in the settings) which should be from the arrangement belonging to "A", Gminor: Gm/A#/Cm/Dm, so nothing complicated or complex.

Now when I try to import into Chillout engine (which is usually very good in interpreting chords) it starts with not being able suggesting scale (which I never had before) and when I set it to Gminor manually thats the result.

As I got out 8 bars with 2 patterns I would expect evry Chord to stay over 2 bars so 4 chords make up 8 bars. Now if you have a look on the screen, that is evrything but definitely not this simple progession Dialekt shows and its nothing simple like voicing, I mean D and D#, G and G#, C and C# and so on ALL in the place that should be ONE Chord ?

I am not good at musictheory (thats why I use this kind of tools) but this looks VERY strange to me ? Any explanation for it ?

What you are showing in the dialekt screenshot is the randomizer. It shows what will be written, which might not match was is actually being programmed in the chord track, unless you just randomized the pattern.

Check the chord track on the Synth page to see what chords are actually there.

If it is still confusing, please open up a support case.
Send us the Dialekt preset and the screenshot from your app, so we can investigate.

Ok I will sent ticket to support, but this is absolutely confusing cause on the synth/chord page there are only the notes shown, not the chords. So if on the only page that shows the chords these are NOT the acutal chords being placed this is really strange, I really need a place to show the ACTUAL used chords cause evrything else is based on it.

Mistake on my side, Pitch LFO, Pitch Env and Glide should be set to zero before export.

This is fixed in the upcoming update.

Great update. I don't know if it's my imagination but it overall feels more solid.

The step delay is a really great addition.

Makes it a lot more flexible. You can do snare flams if you have the previous note offset with a ratchet into the upbeat.

Also allows for a kind of swing per track or just overall looseness.

Dust is a great addition for Lo-fi stuff.

I don't know if it's by design but if I randomise from an init patch some of the engines don't change their types. For example, the chord sequencer always retains the synth type. It will change the parameters for the synth but not its type.

Also the Slicer always randomises the same sample.

None of these are deal breakers to be honest as I tend to get a bit more hands on with the slicer.

Installed the update, opened Standalone and VST, no new preset categories shown. The installed standalone link is from today. Sadly the "about" does not work (nothing happens when I click on it), any other way to see which version I am on ?

Have you looked into the randomizer settings? It‘s the happy checkbox button.

Ok, so I am on 1.0.1, so thats fine. Maybe I got something wront: are the new preset categories only for the randomiser (there I could see them) or are there new presets to with this categories under the song presets (there are no new categories there) ?

Post

There are no new presets, this update was needed quickly, so there was no time for sound design.
The new randomizer features and dust engine had been in the works before release.
