I have everything from T-RackS 5. I want the updated modules, but I don't care too much about the new stuff. What's the most affordable way to do this? I had hoped they would just unlock like they did for all the previous versions but they are charging for this now.

T-Racks 6 Max was $99 a few days ago, but I think that's finished now. Probably best to wait until next time unless you get a good upgrade option.

The jam points squeal lost some of it's power when IK decided to not let you use them for upgrades.

They had a NAMM discount recently, around 80 bucks to upgrade (with NAMMSLAM coupon, and using Jampoints). Now it's back to 99.

I'm in the same boat as you, wanting the updates. But not going to pay 80 bucks for some minor improvements. I had it in my basket, but decided to wait it out. They'll do a deep sale eventually...

I'm almost certain there will be Total Studio 5 (4.5?) with T-Racks 6 included around March/April. That's when I'm going to upgrade my TS 3.5, along with T-Racks.
If the price is right, that is.

I refuse to pay that much to "update" plugins I already bought. They should have had simpler update options where you can update what you have, no new plugins, for like $39. Then offer ala carte prices for individual new ones and also have bundle deals for new, new + update, etc..

There's really very little reason to upgrade. $99? No thanks. $80 with the discount I missed? That'd still be a no. All my TR5 modules work just great thanks and probably will for years. The best way to get folks to upgrade would've been to have included some really killer new models: like MKII versions of some of these older modules, or just must-have new stuff. Or some massive feature improvements. They just missed the mark on TR6 IMO.

In a year, they'll probably release a "Custom Shop" update or something that will unlock the TR6 versions for people who own TR5 modules. It certainly wouldn't surprise me if they did. And if they don't, I won't be upset.

Fight the FOMO.

Good points Funky... also, I am all for supporting a company, they have to eat too. But they need to do it in a fair and reasonable way so everybody wins.

Just upgraded to Total Studio 5 Max. With my JamPoints the price was fine.

Except JamPoints disables special upgrade discount.

I expected more bugfixes before TS5 release. I basically have everything except Pianoverse, so I'll wait for some crazy promo for it.

You can get T-Racks 6 Standard and a bunch of other bits and pieces for around $30 in one of the latest humble bundle specials.
I have most of the T-Racks collection and was on v5, now I am running the v6 versions. I'm having some trouble getting all my v5 plugins to show as 'owned' in the new modules manager but have contacted support about it. They sent me back a mail talking about T-Racks Intro so had to message them a 2nd time.

Bought them too, having some trouble getting all my pre-V4 plugins to show as 'owned' in the new modules manager but have contacted support about it. I had the exact same problem with them in V5, they had to send a custom serial number to get them to work, but it doesnt work in v6.

They replied, the day after I rasied the ticker, asking my OS, but there's been no response since, and that's been over 10 days of silence now.
