Pretty sure current uhe advice for Diva on newer processors is to not enable the multi threading.
.
I know it's not the same as MSEGs, but give the shape and trigger sequencing stuff in multi/poly a try. You can do a lot of the same things, but the workflow is a bit different and tends to lead to different results. (I find it easier to make rhythmic stuff with the Korg wave sequencing approach, but worse as a substitute for exotic LFO shapes.)AcrossTheSky wrote: Thu May 01, 2025 7:27 pm how about MSEG for added modulation ?? like in Legend HZ![]()
I actually loved the Matrix series, even the horrible one... but not the last one. That actually made me really angry. But it does illustrate what I'm talking about. Tom Anderson finds out he's in a simulation because he's told, and actually, he is told by someone who is in a simulation who thinks he's not in a simulation. So he never leaves the Matrix, which is why he makes the decisions he makes. He realizes that the only thing that's truly real is his feelings towards people, most importantly, Trinity.vurt wrote: Thu May 01, 2025 7:12 pmhave you not seen the matrix? basically, you get to looks cool and dodge bullets. plus you can program yourself to learn kung fu, rather than years of lessons.zerocrossing wrote: Wed Apr 30, 2025 8:21 pmI always find the simulation question to be funny, because what's the ramifications of it? its looks pretty cool to be honest, but i havent managed to down any helicopters yet. but i have crashed a few drones.*

I'd be totally down for that. There really isn't a synth that doesn't benefit from MPE. So good.tumface wrote: Fri May 02, 2025 11:50 pm I feel like this Korg synth in particular would benefit from MPE or VST3 note pitch expression. I sometimes like being able to nudge the tuning of one or two notes in a big stacked chord sweep to get more of that choral intonated sound. But, I knew going in that it wouldn't have it, since none of the other Korg synths do. Well, if that's my biggest complaint with this synth, it must be pretty good.
Sorry for the continued off topic..zerocrossing wrote: Fri May 02, 2025 11:38 pm

@vitocorleone123, I trust your opinion very much. How do you see the Multi/Poly compared to the UA Opal soft synth?vitocorleone123 wrote: Thu Mar 20, 2025 12:49 am I’d buy this instead of Serum2 if it had MPE. Instead, it’s going to be the other way around.
I ended up with MP, as well as Serum2.waxdoctor wrote: Thu Aug 28, 2025 6:33 pm@vitocorleone123, I trust your opinion very much. And Novation Peak and Summit because the M/P is also hardwarewaxdoctor wrote: Thu Aug 28, 2025 6:33 pm@vitocorleone123, I trust your opinion very much. I did not mean the M/P hardware though. I thought it was clear since we are in the M/P Native thread...Korg Supporter wrote: Fri Aug 29, 2025 4:56 amAnd Novation Peak and Summit because the M/P is also hardwarewaxdoctor wrote: Thu Aug 28, 2025 6:33 pm@vitocorleone123, I trust your opinion very much. M/P is not an hybrid, no analogue path such vcf, vca, overdrive and distortionKorg Supporter wrote: Fri Aug 29, 2025 4:56 amAnd Novation Peak and Summit because the M/P is also hardwarewaxdoctor wrote: Thu Aug 28, 2025 6:33 pm@vitocorleone123, I trust your opinion very much. Opal is surprisingly good. Crisp. Much more limited, compared to MP.
However, I deleted it as I just never seemed to enjoy using it. Not sure why,,, probably the interface. If they designed a better UI with the same features I’d try it again. While some things are a little scattered in the MP UI, it’s all there and logically organized. Feels more like using a synth than programming a synth.
The filters on MP are much better. And it’s very very deep. The modulation is slightly annoying , though, to enable and use.
Would be nice, but I didn't even bother to put in a feature request for it, because I don't think they view it as that kind of synth. Very few analog polys let you do this. Diva lets you do it, as a bonus, but it's not something you'd be doing on nearly any classic analog poly.
