Yeah. Assignable automation works great in giant modular instruments. NI also do this in Kontakt and Reaktor. Depending on the host it may be tricky to update the names and ranges of the automated parameters but it can be done.

Best is, to have both. Macros and assignable automation. To have only (a limited number of) macros might not cut it.
Then I could also have fixed names for most common macros like „pressure“, „timbre“, „modulation“ etc. which could be pre mapped to common Midi modulations like MPE, Modwheel and such… That could speed-up things in such a modular physics machine…

Assignable modulation is already possible in Anukari and works really well.

^this. To the folks commenting about parameter automation, it already exists. There was just a tad bit of confusion in an earlier post on this thread regarding how it works. Which is my fault for not making it obvious enough! A tutorial video is coming in the next few weeks.

No doubt there could be ways to streamline how it works, and that's something I look forward to working on after I'm happy with performance and stability.

Testing it right now.

What would be nice to have is:
Midi CC mapping /Host automation for the given visible slider controls on the right side in the GUI.

Let´s say i highlight several objects in the graphic.
Now the sliders on the right are affecting these "highlighted objects" when playing the sliders with the mouse. If i highlighet other objects, are these now affected.

That´s what i´d like to map to HW controls.
Or in other words, what´s accesible by mouse, i´d like to have that quickly accesible with my Midi HW controls.

i can have great jamms just with some keyboard playing and fiddling with the Mouse/Trackpad.
i´d really like to do that -on the quick- with HW controls. That would be great.

crackling ?
i´m on a M4Mac studio. I have huge amounts of crackling.
I host Anukari within GP (GigPerformer).

personally, i *require* to have a good midi cc mapping access over Host automation in my case.

i was for example not able to create a HW midi control so far.
I went into the manual.
i found the passages. I found the Midi objects. i took one, connected it, and mapped it to the custom host automation. things looked donne alright.....but: no HW midi control is working so far.
Can´t make out what i´m doing wrong

The Soound can be great.
jamming is fun !
Even after just some short time would i have sounds nice to sampled. For example for into an elektron sampler box.
Had also funny jamms allready just fiddling with the Trackpad.
There is definitly some fun creative potential to be had.
Fresh air for sure
But i didn´t liked the above posted fresh videos from one user.
And: Thanks for having a Demo running !

Thanks, Funky40.

Regarding the cracking on M4Mac, I don't know when I'll have results, but it's the top thing I'm working on right now.

Regarding the modulation, I've had a lot of questions about this. Much more professional tutorials are coming, but for now I spent 10 minutes slapping together a quick & dirty explanation. Let me know if this helps:

Didn't mean to add to confusion. I haven't tried the thingy yet. Was just pointing out how it's been done by others. Seems like what you did as well. Can't wait to play with the demo. If it does melt my laptop, I'll definitely be buying it.

On a modest cpu like an intel core i5 with integrated graphics, this is really only, mostly usable in standalone mode at its current iteration, imo. Personally, I think graphics performance 'could' be a lot more efficient. Anyway, impressive none the less, have to pass for now though...

We don‘t need „professional“ tutorials, if we get such clear and easy explanations. There are so many „tutorials“ which need 5 minutes to get to the point where they start to explain. I prefer this unpolished quick version over any other…
Yours is perfect to simply show hands-on how easy it is to then do my own explorations…
The whole approach we see here is totally new: a modular physical synthesis model. This will need time to explore it in each detail. If you need 10 minutes to explain such a topic, it can‘t get more efficient than that…
Using the feedback for areas which are not directly understood by those „just fiddling around without reading the manual“ users (I belong to them), might be good point to prioritize these topics with such short videos…

Using M1 machine here, I can confirm that closing the window improves the “CPU load issue”.

I agree that a short video like you just did is pretty efficient.
That approach concerning modulation is pretty convenient, for me at least.

Thank you very much @Anukari ! That helped me perfectly fine

JFYI:
here where my stumblimng block was.
First, trying to do it right, i just loaded one Host automation device.
Here the first part of the stumbling block: i was ofcoarse NOT aware that i could just run many modulation lines from just that one Midi device.
So i expected everything to be visible in one go, in one place.
Where i failed: i never clicked the green line, ......but that opens the window required to make the final setting: chose the parameter to be modulated.
Most people deeply into something have usually a hard time to adapt to "from where a total beginner is coming from".
You could point more explicitly to that "see the green line ? ...click that green line", "then"......in further videos.
As you have set it up makes perfect sense, once understood. ( just takes to watch that video ;) )

I totally agree ! Big times.

Anukari is not for (Soundsynthesis) beginners. Not at these first days, imho.
Help out the seasoned users on the quick is best to go on on that early stage, imho.

We on the other side, are dealing in the meantime with literally hundreds of plugins.
I do NOT have time or energy or nerves for long videos.
tack - tack - tack - tack. As you´ve donne it. That works out perfectly well !
keep "these" coming !
Thanks Alots

Thanks, folks, glad to hear that the unpolished video was helpful. Some of this stuff is nearly impossible to explain over text, but completely simple to explain with a little video.

The goal with the more professional videos is hopefully to be even MORE short/direct and to the point. Basically like the rough one I shared, but without me rambling while I think. :)

i checked vs. crackling.
I´m on a M4studio-max right now, 40GPU cores.

when closing the GUI is the crackling lesser, but still there.
On most (factory) patches is it still too big that a recording would make sense.it is crackling quasi permanently. The difference is like: 8-16Hz vs. 1-4 Hz.

I had yesterday patches i could perform with little crackling. GUI is allways open for me. i think my CC mappings have added alots of load to the "machine". Even while not moving any CC mapped sliders is there a difference in crackling numbers i´d say.

What i also can tell for sure is:
my personal biggest fun is to just highlight some objects, and jamm with them just moving one GUI slider. So far, i don´t get into "that amount of fun" territory with my CC mapping attempts.
I´ve donne quite complex CC mappings now. I even tryed to replicate some of that try&error jam fun vs, host automation attempts (manual jammings). But i´ve not yet managed to make it work same.
The whole potential of sound outcome is not the same for me.
