Hard to believe it was more than 10 years ago! I remember it well. Good times!

Dear friends, here is my entry for May 2025. Big shout out to Björn from Full Bucket for making this awesome synth. I think this is the fourth time I have submitted a track using one of his synths and, as always, it was more than a pleasure to work with it. In Ragnarok, the oscillators sound so rich and full of character. Beautiful filters and I'm a big fan of the 7-band fixed filter. I don't know what it is with Björn's synths, they always touch me deeply. There's always that thing that makes them something incredibly special.

The Day After is not an easy track to listen to. It's quite dark. So be it.

This is quite beautiful, like a soundtrack for a dystopian movie. The track title kinda gave it away, of course :tu:

Questions about clap version:
What does a filter cutoff keytrack value of 768 mean (default value)? what does 1536 mean?
Not much info about the meaning of these settings in the manual ...

And I get crackel when playing a 1/16 sequence with alternating velocities and VCA env set to recognize velocity.
Is there a setting that helps to prevent the crackling?

This is nonsense. Will be fixed in a future version.

No.

I found a way to tackle the worst crackles by catching them with a Compressor/Peak-Limiter.

It's astonishing. Monolith and Raganrök are compared to other synths pretty "limited". At least for me Ragnarök is way more "accessible" to get good sounds than monolith. monolith was a constant fight ... Ragnarök is by now more rewarding and fun.
Here's a little Preview of what's coming. It has not been properly mixed. I bet that the bass is to loud ... but anyways. https://soundcloud.com/p-e-t-e-r-h/osc- ... al_sharing

Ragnarök was specifically designed to be very accessible :D

I think I have discovered sth for @FullBucket to look into.

I usually don't save individual patches as explicit patches/files. The patches are therefore only part of the project state. Now I have reloaded my project and the LFO assignment to Filter don't work any more. This is true for all patches that use LFO on filter. I discovered that moving the "rmp" slider once from left to full right and back again "reactivates" the LFO. After that exercise the sound is back to the state before saving. Maybe the patch saving routine is missing the rmp value and the code assigns a default value?
I use the clap version, bitwig 5.3.8 on windows 11.

First of all I'd like to thank Björn for his incredible work and for providing his awesome plugins completely free!

As a macOS/Logic Pro user I have a specific question: When the AU plugin window is opened, I can access AU presets via the default plugin menu, which logic provides, but the presets don't appear in the default folder /Library/Audio/Presets/Full Bucket Music/Ragnarok2 and thus are not shown in the Logic Library window, which is a pity. If the presets appeared in the Library, I could navigate through them without having to open the plugin, which would make it much easier to find a sound.

Indeed this is obviously a general issue with third party AU plugins. Some don't show any AU presets at all, but many of them do like described above, but they are not showing up in the Library. Does anyone know how to "fix" this (except of manually saving all factory presets one by one)?

Actually I did that already. So if any Logic users here want the AU presets to appear in their Library, too, you're welcome:
Ragnarok 2 Factory Presets (Logic Pro AU format).zip
I've added a screenshot below to clarify what I mean. To prevent any confusion: The "Ragnarok 2 Factory" folder, which is shown in the picture, I've created by myself and does not appear by default.
