yup, dequarantined and code signed it. rebooted. many times. it just won't show up as a vst, au, or anywhere in Logic. I did go back and download the standalone for mac and that was a piece of cake. It sounds great. I just have it coming into logic on audio inputs right now but, damn. it sure takes me back to the sound canvas and my JV 80 days. anyone else got it running in Logic on a mac? Lettuce know!beely wrote: Mon May 05, 2025 3:15 am You de-quarantined and code signed it? Rebooted?
It (the AU version) works here everywhere other than Logic, where it just crashes hard in the process block every time…

So far AU is working here on my Intel Mac in Logic.
I've moved jv880.component into my Components folder for all user.
De-quarantined with Terminal.
Rebooted my Mac. Started Logic.
Found and inserted the AU plugin VirtualJV listed under same name, VirtualJV (manufacturer).
Copied ROMs into the folder which I could directly open from the VirtualJV plugin window.
Removed plugin from the slot and inserted again.
Done. Working here!

same here, it crashes in Logic on Mac M2 using Sequoia. I had tested it as standalone and in Hosting AU with no issues...

I don’t have much room for all the stuff I have, so I don’t always have the module hooked up. It will be nice to be able to just use this plugin version here and there.
These sounds are from the synth module:

After more testing it works great in Presonus Studio One v7 on windows, but in Cubase 14 , once you record midi add another instance and press play, the first instance goes out of tune. ( this doesn’t happen in studio one )

This is cool. However, it's missing the Green (lcd style) information graphic at top of GUI for some reason on both standalone and VST3 here?

Is there any way to actually edit the tones? Although there is a tab "Tone" in the "Edit"-Area, it is empty over here.
Although I always remembered the JV880 beeing multitimbral (4 tones make one patch). I could be wrong though, since I also used to have a 1080 and I might confuse things.
As it is now, it is not a complete JV-80/880 emulation or am I missing something?

Another case of it not working in Logic, M2 Pro, Sequoia. Immediately crashes upon loading and recovering does not work.
