So you do not see track layout :

Like at all?

This little keyboard icon is present on every instrument track - whether there is any instrument on it or not.

If you are not seeing these - even when adding a completely empty track - there is something else going on here.

Need to see a screencap of that machine and exactly what your friends track layout looks like.

Is it not possible to get a screencap?

Is this user in Automation mode? What you are reporting makes no sense.

It is not possible to have an instrument track without the controls in my screencap. Could it be that the track panel is simply too thin? Can you grab the track section at the top and widen it out so all controls are visible.

And also drag the track panel down to expand the controls?

Without screencap - I am simply shootin in the dark here but it sounds like a UI sizing issue or something obvious that is being overlooked.

He says other Arturia synths work perfectly normal. He also checked via software center for latest update or fix, nothing. So, any way to make Pigments work? Thank you.

EDIT: I have latest v6 of S1 Pro and have no such issues with Pigments.
I went through this issue when S1 v6 first came out. Turns out my x64 folder with the plugin data was corrupted. The solution was to delete the folder, and rescan the plugins. Omnisphere worked fine after that. Enough of a known issue that Slate Digital has a help page:

It also might be worth trying uninstalling and reinstalling Pigments.

I know that sounds overly simple, but recently I was unable to open Pigments in both Cubase and Live for some unknown reason. After trying to troubleshoot it and getting nowhere, I just uninstalled and reinstalled and it started working again.

In fact, nothing has happened yet. That being said, by the plain statistics, they are not “late” for the announced release schedule in 2025 (3-4 releases per year).

What has already been discussed elsewhere is the fact that 7.1 was somewhat lackluster.

/.1 was the first of those 3-4 updates which was not much except a new sample pack library.
So since they have announced and started selling this in October they have 6 months left for the rest. So in the best case there will be 7.2 and 7.3 in a year cycle. If 7.2 is similar to 7.1 like a new sample pack instrument and small changes here and there people would really consider paying again when the time comes but instead wait for a substantial update that is feature wise worth it for them.

I don‘t have high hopes. Today is the first day of SB and so any news would either be announced or leaked.

What if Splice make a move to buy out S1 from Fender/Presonus like they did with Spitfire Audio?
It is already integrated with Studio One, so you never know :)

In addition, Presonus usually releases on a Wednesday. And there was nothing.

According to presonus, they have 2-3 more heftier updates for this year right? superbooth would be a convenient time to tease whats upcoming for s1.
