From what I can see, Reaper appends a "All notes off" message to the end of a midi file (or internal midi). It does this on channel 1. So, given my file was originally on channel 8, having this extra message at the end make it a multi-channel midi. Maybe this upsets Ragnorak?Full Bucket wrote: Tue May 06, 2025 1:44 pm ...
Ragnarök is "MIDI channel-agnostic". I would guess that it has something to do with your Reaper project/track settings...![]()
Anyway, I have a workaround/solution. Let's blame Reaper this time

No, Ragnarök just doesn't care. Hey Bjorn, Just to let you know the CLAP version works just fine , plays the notes on midi channel 8 and ALSO respects the pitch changes also on channel 8!Full Bucket wrote: Wed May 07, 2025 5:19 am ... Ragnarök just doesn't care. I agree, let's blame the DAW...![]()
The VST3i version plays the notes on midi channel 8 , but does not respect the pitch changes on channel 8. Only works if both notes and pitch commands are on channel 1.
Something not quite right somewhere
Anyway, thought you'd like to know there is a difference between the two plugin formats.
Cheers

I can confirm this. I've tried it with AU and VST3 in Logic Pro 11 and Reaper on macOS Ventura/IntelMilksterX wrote: Tue May 06, 2025 11:27 am Hi Bjorn, On the Mac versions the window sizes don't seem to work - window size is default 50 (I think) if I set it to 100 it takes up 2 full screens! and trying to set it back to 50% doesn't do anything have to delete the instance and reload a new one...
I've never used the fixed window sizes from the menu before.
I've checked, if some of the other Full Bucket plugins show the same behavior, and found the in the following: Ny, PECS, Oxid, Paralogy. All others are fine.
The resizing issue only happens, when choosing the size via the menu. When accessing the fixed sizes via right-click everything is ok. So this is actually not a serious bug...
@Milkster: via the right-click-menu you can get back to normal size without having to reload.

Völuspá
By Seap for One Synth Challenge 195, May 2025
https://soundcloud.com/seap681/seap-voluspa-osc195
In the Völuspá, one of the most important poems of the Poetic Edda, Ragnarök is described as the apocalyptic end of the world and the gods' fate. The poem presents a prophetic vision delivered by a völva (seeress) to Odin, recounting the world's creation and its inevitable destruction.
Ragnarök begins with a series of omens: the Fimbulwinter (a great, harsh winter), moral collapse, and chaos among humans. Then, cosmic disturbances occur—wolves devour the sun and moon, plunging the world into darkness. The world tree, Yggdrasil, trembles, and the boundaries between realms dissolve.
The gods face their doom in a final battle against the forces of chaos—giants, monsters, and Loki's brood. Odin is killed by the wolf Fenrir, Thor slays the Midgard Serpent (Jörmungandr) but dies from its poison, and other gods fall in combat.
Despite the destruction, Völuspá ends on a hopeful note: the world is reborn from the sea, new gods arise, and a golden age returns, suggesting a cyclical view of time and renewal.

Thanks for the heads-up, I now can confirm this, too... haven't thought about the sizing submenu in the main menu which is for some of my plug-ins not in sync with the "right-click" sizing menu... my bad!1980-F wrote: Wed May 07, 2025 3:31 pmI can confirm this. HI. The only issue i found is with pitch bending when two instances are stacked with midi thru: the bending rises correctly on both instances but in the second it drops by double when I return the lever to the neutral position (i.e. +2 semis for both with the lever on the right; 0 semis for the first and -2 semis for the second with the lever in the center). I use vst3 type with Reaper 7 and Win 10. Otherwise the synth is fantastic: Easy, excellent quality, very light on the CPU. It allows me to focus on the composition without going crazy finding the right sound. I made this month song in few days having really fun!
With Whispair I sent my first OSC song, my entry with One+Pops(osc 173) is one of my preferred songs, i often use Fury800 in my productions (with those amazing brasses and that chorus).
Yeah, i love Full Bucket synths! Thanks Bjorn!

Hello Björn, thank you for your quick responses.
I've found another thing. I'm not directly considering this as a bug, but since it's a bit annoying, I just want to let you know. I'm talking about the Mac versions only.
When using the "Host" function (for repeating notes with a selected sync-to-host-rate) a rate change from the menu is only adopted by Ragnarök2 after starting DAW playback once. I've tested this with the VST3 in Reaper and the AU version in Logic Pro. So I assume a short DAW playback is just necessary to make Ragnarök2 adopt a change of the sync-to-host-rate? This behavior is at least a bit confusing, since changing LFO sync rates in AU or VST3 plugins normally works without having to start playback in the DAW.
But that's not my main point. There's a little difference between the AU and the VST3 when loading a new instance.
With the VST3 version in Reaper, after loading a new instance of Ragnarök2, choosing "Host" and pressing a key, note repeats are played immediately with the pre-selected sync-to-host-rate.
When I freshly load an instance of Ragnarök2 in Logic Pro, set the Mode button to "Host" and then press a key on my keyboard, the note repeats don't work. I have to start DAW playback first to make the repeat functionality work at all.
Because of curiosity I've also checked the old Ragnarök AU version. There the repeats worked immediately after loading the plugin without having to start DAW playback once.

Yeah, indeed! Any idea why the CLAPi version pb works for me on MIDI channel 8, but the VST3i version does not, and needs MIDI channel 1? Exact same MIDI file, exact same Reaper.Full Bucket wrote: Fri May 09, 2025 7:46 am Welcome to the wonderful world of different plugin formats...![]()
