I just upgraded to v11 and had the same problem (also on a Mac with Arturia content saved on a secondary drive). Your approach just saved me from pulling my hair out, thanks!Gamma-UT wrote: Fri Apr 25, 2025 3:14 pmI've run into a bunch of missing resource and preset problems. Part of the issue seems to be to do with the fact that I've got the resources on a separate drive to the OS drive (this is on a Mac). The install-all option runs into trouble it seems about halfway through and it fails to complete the installation for some of the plugins in subtle ways.c0nsilience wrote: Fri Apr 25, 2025 1:57 pm Did anyone else have any issues with the factory content/presets not installing with V. 11?
One is that the images.info file doesn't get placed into the plugin's Install folder – which triggers a GUI error.
The other winds up with missing presets. I found the problem plugins wind up with their presets folder set to the installation date/time and not the build date (21/04/2025 or thereabouts). Uninstalling and reinstalling individually seems to fix it (which is a bit of a PITA for about 20 plugins out of the 45), though I'm not exactly going to use them all at once. As far as I can tell, the problem may stem from it downloading old presets (eg Jup-8 V3), which seems to corrupt the database and the Database Creator tool which seems to run as part of the installation stops adding presets from that point. The individual install doesn't download these old files.
The old trick of just deleting the db3 file doesn't seem to work. I could only unjam it by deleting the preset folders for each problem plugin and reinstalling. That has worked so far for me.
If on MacOS, giving full disk access to both ASC and its helper daemon seems to help - though it does seem to be able to install at least some of the plugins correctly.
I had a similar issue with updates to the FX so I think the problem might actually lie with a change in the latest ASC. Maybe I hadn't noticed it before, but you can select which formats to install on the Preferences. I think this might have introduced these bugs for the install-all operation.

Shameless self promotion but maybe someone finds it interesting

I've been cleaning this mess up today -- Mellotron and SEM lacked presets, and missing GUI on numerous instruments (but no effects oddly), and I've been wanting to get rid of the VST/VST3/AUX plugins since I only use Logic anyway. I wound up deleting everything (plugins, app, db.3, presets, media) and reinstalling manually, bypassing ASC. Right PITA that was. (e: also on a Mac w/ resources on a separate drive. And sadly Solina still pegs the CPU and crackles for some reason)cryophonik wrote: Sun May 04, 2025 5:55 am I just upgraded to v11 and had the same problem (also on a Mac with Arturia content saved on a secondary drive). A lot of offers of the V Collection in the For Sale area.
Seems some guys are not that satisfied with the bundle...

I don't think it's the bundle. The quality of Arturia synths are getting better every year, it's not comparable to their past plugins.martinjuenke wrote: Sat May 10, 2025 5:11 am A lot of offers of the V Collection in the For Sale area.

Yeah, you're right.
Some guys are offloading their redundant licenses after upgrading obviously...

Now, as Version 11 is on the market and only some minor complaints about nitty critty stuff is discussed in that other thread, it's time to move on:
What can be expected in Version 12?
A) A drum machine for sure
B) additional vintage emulation, but not too many
C) some soft versions of Arturias own hardware (Drumbrute?)
D) further diffentiation of bundles (Vintage, Modern, Augmented)

In my opinion they'll release a dedicated Drum machine collection, so it won't be in V collection 12. It would make more sense to release a whole new line (D-Collection maybe) where they put some famous Drum machines in.
Regarding new synths maybe something like EDP Wasp?

Yes, I also am convinced they need to make separate collections. Sure, the augmented en modern instruments are interesting and useful to some, but I think most people don't want those in the V Collection.

I feel like Arturia has so completely lost the plot when it comes to V Collection that I just can’t care what they do anymore. I’ve lost interest at this point.
THIS MUSIC HAS BEEN MIXED TO BE PLAYED LOUD SO TURN IT UP

For V Collection 9 owners, the upgrade costs the same as purchasing a new v11 license.
In this scenario, there's no incentive to upgrade.
Most will buy a new v11 license and sell their old v9.

They should separate synth based stuff and sample based stuff. Augmented should be a different collection.
It's too jumbled up right now.
It would take a bit of sorting to get things in order, but they seem to enjoy making up different packages at price points.
I've got a lot of their stuff, but I also don't use a lot of it.
Currently, their offerings seem to be almost as chaotic as Native Instruments stuff.

They use Augmented and now LoFi to make it seem like you are getting more than you are with the V collectionfelis wrote: Sun May 11, 2025 1:23 pm They should separate synth based stuff and sample based stuff. Augmented should be a different collection.

Roland does the same with the Roland Cloud where they pretend sample packs are new instruments
Ideally they would make a single Augmented plugin and sell it separately, and then sell sample packs and presets for it but I am not sure if there is much of a market for that
If they were really smart they would make all of the samples from Augmented, Pigments, CMI, LoFi, Synclavier, and E-II, available in some format that could work universally with everything Arturia sells and then moving forward make more sample packs available for sale in this universal format
It could be WAV files but they would worry about pirates so they could just make it some proprietary for at which as much as I hate those I might buy
An Arturia Sampler Collection with all the samples for everything that work universally and would reside in the same location on your Hard Drive would be of interest to a lot of people I would think

All the samples for all of these plugins are wav and sfz files and are available in the samples folder in the Arturia application support folder

Now that they’ve started with the 90’s vintage with J-8000 perhaps they will continue this with a virus, and andromeda, maybe a nord etc.
I remain surprised every new collection that they have not tackled the mood modular or arp 2600 and instead redo newer ones like the sem. But there are lots of other Modular’s and moogs with plenty of modular, and also a couple really accurate 2600s so I don’t actually care about Arturo’s updating these as they won’t be as good as what’s out there. I’d guess maybe the matrix-12 gets updated, which would be cool to get all the modern extras.
Also wouldn’t be surprised to see them turn to vintage drum machines at some point (again)
