It's completely empty for me but I do have factory presets so they must be somewhere

Can you do me a favour and post a list of all the factory presets (just use search to find and list all presets in that folder alphabetically, then copy/paste to convert the names to text)

Cheers

Sorry, I have to correct myself.
There are only the preset folders (Duck, Full, Gate, Pump) but not the presets themselves.
Confusing.

Yes, I assume the aim is for people to save user presets in those categories - so where are the factory presets?

I found this reverb to be too bright at its core for my ears, and making it darker made it lose too much in the process.

For people who like bright reverbs, check this one out!

It's worth stressing that the sub presets under the colour section are effectively different spectral settings.

In other words if you have identical setting and only change the Colour presets (leaving the EQs and spectral xontrol at zero and the block size the same) it's a different sounding reverb.

If you open the presets in a text editor there are two hidden parameters that control the spectral character. Focus and atmosphere.

I wonder why they're hidden. Marc even talks about them in the overview video

I like some of the tones you can get with the spectral effect, but it's not as wild as I thought it might be. I don't like that you can't disable the swell effect. It's too prominent, especially at lower settings, and at higher settings the reverb attack is too slow. Really wish I could just turn that off.

It's very buggy for me in FL Studio, Win 11. It randomly stops producing sound when adjusting parameters or browsing presets, requiring a reload.

The reverb sound itself is nice and airy, quite different to most of my other reverbs. The autoclear and ducker work really well. The buffer reset is great.

Overall a very nice modern sounding reverb good for making shimmery granular-ish atmospheres, but too unstable on my system to consider buying at present.

Probably UI related development constraints.

If you open a preset in a text editor there are a whole bunch of other parameters too like an eq for the shimmer effect.

Maybe these will be exposed in the UI in an update.

I think (wisely) it has been designed and marketed as a reverb first. But as I and others have said while it’s a pretty great reverb there is more off the beaten track side of it is where it stands out.

I hope they lean into that aspect more.

If it had pitch transposition and frequency shifting like e.g. GRM Tools Evolution it could well substitute some other tools but as it is now I don't find it exceptionally good or special. It has this typical smeary spectral sound to it which always sounds the same, no matter what you feed it with.

I find it can sound radically different due to the eqs, gating, block size, shimmer and various other parameters.

Seems like no one is talking about Strymon Cloudburst. The plugin version came out yesterday.

I think this is a way better offering than cloudburst. It’s (cb) ok, nothing overly special
sound-wise imo. Though I didn’t spend a
ton of time with it tbf. And I am a big fan
of Strymon, their HW at least.
