I presume you would have to set those up in the plugin.IvyBirds wrote: Sun May 11, 2025 9:45 pmThey are not tagged and don't load universally in the various plugins with the proper key mapping, loop points etcaMUSEd wrote: Sun May 11, 2025 8:18 pm All the samples for all of these plugins are wav and sfz files and are available in the samples folder in the Arturia application support folder

My current upgrade price from 9 to 11 (Pro) is 299 €/$. That's the regular price, during BF/whatever sale it's cheaper.Jim Roseberry wrote: Sun May 11, 2025 1:09 pm For V Collection 9 owners, the upgrade costs the same as purchasing a new v11 license.
In this scenario, there's no incentive to upgrade.
Most will buy a new v11 license and sell their old v9.
There is probably something wrong with your account. I had a similar issue with the FX Collection, no upgrade price was displayed. I contacted the support and they solved the problem.

Arturia have still a bit of a shooting-from-the-hip way of developing their synths though. It was way worse than before - but still their emulations are best to be viewed as entertaining approximations rather than proper software clones, getting 70-80% into the ballpark of the sound. Which is good enough for most.Rastkovic wrote: Sat May 10, 2025 10:02 am The quality of Arturia synths are getting better every year, it's not comparable to their past plugins.
But if you are truly passionate about a synths sound and particulars, Arturia is not the developer I would put on the top on my list. I've spent a lot of time with Acid V lately and the replication of the TB303 sound is really not that good. But on the whole it's a very cool instrument I would buy again and again (really - not hedging myself). But if you want to getting really close to the original sound, Arturia is still not that accurate. But in most cases that doesn't matter for most producers. A good synth is a good synth. And Arturia is very good with making good synths.

Their more recent digital/hybrid emulations are kick ass good. Especially the CMI, Synclavier, EII, SQ80, and Prophet VS.DrGonzo wrote: Mon May 12, 2025 3:16 am But if you are truly passionate about a synths sound and particulars, Arturia is not the developer I would put on the top on my list.

The tones are fairly accurate but they haven’t figured out how to get the attacks right on the analog emulations. They lack punch still. For example there’s a video comparing the prophet v to the real thing and the tone sound spot on but then when there’s sound with fast attack it just loses it. I’ll see if I can find it. Ms-20 too. Good tone but you hear punch lacking in the sequences. Also the 303 doesn’t get as resonant as it should and there’s always just a little something lacking in the analogs.DrGonzo wrote: Mon May 12, 2025 3:16 amArturia have still a bit of a shooting-from-the-hip way of developing their synths though. But as noted above the digital ones are quite good.

I agree. But in all fairness, I have room for more than one MS20 and I like the Arturia flavour.

For me, I tend to feel like Arturia's VA synths are lacking in the bottom end. Like someone slapped a multiband compressor on the 100hz and below section of the spectrum to tighten things up*. I can also see what you're saying about the punch too.Echoes in the Attic wrote: Mon May 12, 2025 3:20 pm The tones are fairly accurate but they haven’t figured out how to get the attacks right on the analog emulations. *Note: I'm not trying to put forward some new Arturia conspiracy theory and/or imply that's actually what they're doing, but rather just trying to describe what I hear as lacking in their sound. Compare any of their models to Diva for example, or a hardware analog (I've got a Prophet Rev 4 here), and they just sound "bigger" with more low-end.

I don't know about the others you've mentioned above, but I'd like to know what you find about Arturia's emulation of the Prophet VS that rates being "kick ass good"? Is that assessment made in comparison to one of the real hardware units?IvyBirds wrote: Mon May 12, 2025 5:09 am Their more recent digital/hybrid emulations are kick ass good. Yes and don't just take my world for it. Charlie Clouser formally of NIN has sung its praises from day one, he owned the hardware and tested the software side by side and walked away saying they were so close it blew his mind and any differences came down to calibration issues, he even posted examples on a thread on another forumWeasel-Boy wrote: Mon May 12, 2025 10:33 pmI don't know about the others you've mentioned above, but I'd like to know what you find about Arturia's emulation of the Prophet VS that rates being "kick ass good"? If you want the Prophet VS sound and don't want to deal with expensive fragile 35+ year old hardware, prone to failure that was made on the cheap by a company in the process of going bankrupt (read more on that here
https://learningmodular.com/the-story-o ... rophet-vs/)
there is no better option than the Arturia Prophet VS . It even has the original factory waveforms
You either like the Prophet VS sound or you don't, but the emulation Arturia did is kick ass good

I'd agree with this. It seems like they ignore original parameter ranges. A lot of the original sounds are there, but a lot of sounds that are there are not possible on the original. If you want accurate, it's as you said. There are better choices for their virtual analogs, but if you want a synth that's inspired by the original and is capable of a lot more, they're great instruments. I just wish they'd make something that I was interested in. I'm still on v8, and nothing since has made me really want to upgrade. MiniBrute V was interesting, but not for $300. Maybe if they do a half off sale at some point.DrGonzo wrote: Mon May 12, 2025 3:16 ambut still their emulations are best to be viewed as entertaining approximations rather than proper software clones, getting 70-80% into the ballpark of the sound. Awesome then take a Charlie's, do you disagree or something? Because it nails the sound of the Prophet VS hardware extremely well
