It works here with Win10, but I don’t use a sym link and I’m using Cakewalk as the DAW. The standalone is ok too.rafa1981 wrote: Sun May 11, 2025 7:07 pm It doesn't work for me on WIN 10. If I run the .exe I get nothing and wherever I click I hear the windows chime sound. I have to kill it with the task manager. I have the roms on the expected location.
As a plugin, on Reaper I get a popup that says it's missing the roms, just for me to click the open folder button opening the "roaming" folder where I have the roms and cards.
That drive is a symboling link to a Ext4 drive mounted using WSL2, but all programs load it fine except Algonaut Atlas, which is also broken in this regard and unusable for me.

Thanks. Not the issue. The files and cards are on the expected location but on the .exe I get the Windows chimes wherever I click. I can't even close the Window itself. I have to kill the program using the task manager.autodafe wrote: Sun May 11, 2025 7:31 pmI made a video on Windows as well, Check you have all the needed files and in the correwct folder. Note that I have been using emulators for 20+ years.
If the Windows development environment weren't so heavy I could probably try to do a debug build and debug.

ok, then I think that the problem is the dialog box goes probably behind or out of the main screen..I have seen some other people with tha same issue.
I has a similar issue on Windows, the "Open Rom Folder" dialog was partially out of the main scree...maybe try to maximise the main screen if possible and see if the dialog appears. My 2 cents

I had the same problem as rafa1981 until just now...
I can't describe 100% how I solved it, or how it solved itself. After opening the VST in Reaper the chime sound came, then I closed Reaper and in the background (I think) the folder with "app data\roaming\jv880 opened. Only then did I copy the ROMs into this folder. Then I opened Reaper again and loaded all ROMs and I can use the emulator. I used the latest version from May 12th

Im a bit shocked right now. I borrowed one JV880 from a friend this afternoon and tested it with this emu and holy cow. Its the same sound. I would pay a lot for this if someday they do a commercial version.

Not solved for me. I see e.g. on the Renoise forums that more people has my problem even when having the same files in correct location. I have the files with the same names that everyone posting screenshots has. Weird. Let's see if the dev finds the bug.kvr-audio@t-online.de wrote: Mon May 12, 2025 6:12 pm I had the same problem as rafa1981 until just now...

You may need to install Visual C++ from MS. There's actually a direct link on the GitHub page, right beneath the download links.rafa1981 wrote: Sun May 11, 2025 7:07 pm It doesn't work for me on WIN 10.
